It's a solid movie. I still watch it every couple of years.
You're right though, the trailer was legendary. It's too bad the rest of the movie wasn't filmed with such intensity and skill.

The sequels are barely one step up from Beyformers slop. The first one is far from perfect but its heart was in the right place. I'm not even a goofyzilla hater either, but leave that shit to the professionals at Toho.
