It wasn't until the 90s that people started really putting effort into renewable resources and companies started either planting trees on their own or were being forced to by various governments. Even the oldest of those trees that were being replanted are still probably 10-20 years away from reaching maturity where they can be harvested. That's just the softwood trees like your pine and spruce, hardwood trees like oak won't be mature for another 70-120 years.
