Hello, /tv/. So, I just want to pay my respects to the legend! The legendary John Carpenter! A true master of more than one Craft! He is very talented. He can direct movies and create stories, but he can also compose the scores for his own films. I mean, only few directors can do this kind of thing and this is a signal of how masterful he is. John Carpenter gave us many cult classics and I'm pretty sure you guys know all about it. From terror to science fiction and comedy and action and mixing all together. I mean, this is why I want to pay my respect. Maybe one day some of us can tap into what he tapped and also do some great work that will inspire people, right? A man can dream and if you dare it is no dream. Unless you want to overtrown the Government, then good luck with that shit. I think not even God can do that. But this is where the ending of Escape from L.A. kicks in, the world code, 666. This is why I said a man can dream and inspire other people to dream his dream.

If that had been done properly with proper marketing, we’d be on Halloween 48 by now - all original one-off horror movies like an anthology series that produces one film per year. His original ideas about Michael Myers remain the best and creepiest. It sort of amazes me how few people realize what a masterful example of “show, don’t tell” the original Halloween really was.
