Some of them can be have good scenes and decent action but there is something soul sucking and too glacially paced about each one.Death Note was the only one that had decent pacing but I just couldn't find myself bothered to care about cartoon demons.It's better to read manga than watch anime because at least you can control the pacing.

It's good and a lot of animefags consider it to be a classic and put it in their top 5 or top 10 lists and for good reason. I finished watching it a couple days ago for the first time ever and I'd say it's kino for the most part. It's been like 3 or 4 days and I'm still depressed after seeing the ending.I've watched Death Note too and found it to be decent. It's not earth shatteringly good or anything like a lot of animefags will have you believe. But it's alright. Watched One Punch Man too, that one's fun. Puri Puri Prisoner is hilariously based and I love every second of screen time he gets.

Watching the top anime might not reach the same heights as the top TV shows, but I’ve seen most of those already, so it feels rather fresh. AoT/Death Note were both very entertaining. I loved all of Satoshi Kon's films but to each their own. My favourite though was Made in Abyss which looks deceptively childish but its heavier than any show I had seen in ages. The juxtaposition of innocent naïve children navigating a devious dangerous world was pure kino. The pedophilia in it makes me uncomfortable but thats okay its called world building

AoT is like the breaking bad of anime. At minimum I never really hear anyone say they outright dislike it. Once you get to i think ep 5/6 if youre disinterested you can drop it though ive heard that a few times but generally people seem to be increasingly hooked past that

Ending was fine, kinda inline with the rest but it didn't exactly nail it.But desu I think all of the anime I really like is original and not based on a manga so maybe that's my issue there. Every few months someone pushes some anime on me as the greatest thing ever, I watch it, and it's childish crap that would be a joke if it were live action and weren't being predominantly compared to other anime. Over and over and over again. I guess Cowboy Bebop was alright. If you want to watch Japanese stuff watch old samurai movies, they basically invented modern action adventure films and have excellent writing, acting, and directing to boot.
