The thing that doesn't make sense is that they don't really even hide Leia. They literally make her a space princess and just change her name and apparently that's enough. So why not just put Luke there too and change his name? Too much of a burden on the family to take a second kid too?

Luke was placed in an environment that would facilitate his growth into eventually becoming a Jedi. Leia was placed in an environment that would facilitate her becoming a political operative against the Empire. Both served these purposes well and placing either in the other's position would have undermined that.

This show could have been good or at least decent if not for the Lil' Leia/Darth Shawonda shit. It only needed to arrange a simple grudge match between Obi and Vader, and that would have satisfied PT fans and I think a good amount of OT fans too. But no, you can't have that, Star Wars must be bad because that's what the new rulebook says.
