It's a weird movie. It feels like a sequel to a Superman movie we never got, and it throws you immediately into the middle of the story with no 1st act. Not that I really want to see yet another Superman origin onscreen, but it still felt strange

It felt good desu. I'm of this unspoken requirement that every comic adsptation has to start at the beginning, it really doesn't have to. Characters like Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, etc. are the modern equivalent of mythological heroes, everybody knows the origin story already.
