Some videogames have used the setting well, such as the recent (and often overlooked) Dark Descent. As for the comics, there are a couple of good miniseries amid the vast sea of slop. I haven't read an Aliens novel in decades, and wouldn't now, but they were at least good enough to entertain my underdeveloped 12-year-old brain.
