1. Digger is a deliberate 'f*ck you to the audience' kind of film.2. Digger is not a comfortable crowd-pleaser; it is high-art hostility.3. Digger is not designed to be enjoyed. 4. Digger is engineered to be an antagonistic mirror. 5. Dig or die, the film embraces its own chaos.6. Digger is not being laughed at; it is laughing at you.7. Digger doesn't want your 5-star review. It wants you to be angry.8. Digger is original because you asked for originality, and now you can't handle it.9. Digger didn't miss the point. You are the point.10. You wanted Tom Cruise the action hero, but Iñárritu gave you Tom Cruise the existential crisis. A psychological reality check.
i didn't miss any of those you stupid jerki did miss some of the dialogue because I watched the french subtitled cam rip thoi cant do speaking french

>>223559647Damn, I really need to see this.

>>223559647On a scale of 1 to Matrix Resurrections, how much of a "fuck you" to the audience are we talking about?

>>223559647>DIGGER PLEASE
>>223559647Another go woke go broke movie. Anyone surprised at the failing box office numbers needs to look in the mirror.
>>223559647So it's just The Last Jedi made by a mexican.
I'm tired of preachy shit like this. Yeah, we get it. The oil industry is LE BAD. But what the fuck am I supposed to do about it? There are thousands of planes and cargo ships all over the world that burn more fuel in one trip than I will in my entire life. You want to eliminate fossil fuels? Okay, fine. That means no more long distance air or sea travel unless you want to take a sailing vessel across the ocean. Which at this point is perfectly fine with me, because if nothing else it would help keep shitskins in their containment zones.
>>223560656Digger flat out said what the solution was. Transition to clean energy. But the inherent problem with that is the transition won't be easy. So rather than go through the growing pains of that transition, we'd rather just suck at the tit of oil. He's not wrong, no one wants to be the one to change, they want to kick the can down to the next guy.
>>223559647Sounds like I'm doing the movie a favor by not watching it then. Thank you.
>>223560534what am i supposed to see aside from some old hairy fat guy, motherfucker?
On a scale of 1 to DIG OR DIE, how good was Digger?
>>223561160I promise that when I am elected I will pursue a total conversion to renewable and alternative energy sources to fossil fuels. Now what?
If you replace the d with n it becomes NIGGER
>>223561305big if true
>>223561160Like I said, that's fine but you can't have clean energy and global travel. You could conceivably have nuclear powered cargo ships but they would be expensive as fuck and I guarantee a lot of people would throw a fit over it.
I think it's a interesting take on the futility of satire having a meaningful impact on society outside of a surface levelLike, think about Trump, all the horrible shit he's done and how everyone makes fun of him, calls him an idiot, portrays him like a shit baby, but ultimately none of that matters because it's not preventing him from doing what he's doing or changing our worldSure, it might bring us some temporary joy and catharsis for our anger, our sorrow, our grief, but at the end of the day those feelings fade literally minutes after you leave the theater or shut off the show or stop playing the game, the final shot and the credits really hits me because I left the theater to see a dreary sky on a 70 degree October evening to a trash filled parking lot and thought about how shit our world is and I'm doing nothing to change it, I'm wasting my life, my time, my money on shit that doesn't matter like even posting this
>>223559647Does the film also tell me what a pathetic little cuck I am?
>>223561160>Transition to clean energylmaokill 2/3 of the global population ,start with asia instead

>>223559647Can you please stop saying digger? That's our word. You can say digga though.
>>223559647What the fuck is this movie even about? Is it like the leaks said where it’s a movie about an actor playing the actual guy?
>>223561426Sorry, Excavation American.
>>223561465>Satire...LE BAD>Satire about satire...LE GOOD
>>223561465The movie is a stage play called "Fossil Fools" its the dress rehearsal about an actual tragedy that happened in the movie's real world where a couple of icebergs devastated the world with flooding, ancient diseases, nuclear waste and is about making fun of the people who caused the disaster
>>223561305
>>223561365>but you can't have clean energy and global travelNot for the masses, no. Could we build blimps and a two way ticket across the pacific costs as much as an engagement ring because each ride takes five days? Sure. We could theoretically do anything from steam powered VTOLs to nuclear super cargo ships but anything we do kills the modern way of life. You don't get cheap shit bought on your phone sent to you in under a month (or three,) you don't get fast food delivered right to your door so you don't have to miss any of the big game, you don't get exotic imported fruit from half way around the world because shit, you might not get fruit outside of seasonal unless you pay a premium. And nobody wants to give any of that shit up.
>>22355964711. Digger is a flop at the box office. The flop is the point.
>>223559647>3. Digger is not designed to be enjoyed.I just saw it, and this is full of shit. I enjoyed it immensely. Movie was the funniest thing I've seen all year. My boomer parents even liked it.

>>223561365I’m honestly fine with substantially less global travel. So much traveling now is hedonistic, soulless and actually makes people worse as human beings. If you want to be pampered luxuriously you can do that without flying more than 8 hours away.
DIGGA PLEASE(I saw it earlier today and was pleasantly surprised)
>>223559647I liked it, but I understand why it would piss off a bunch of terminally online “EVERYTHING IS POLITICAL” mind broken retards of the modern era.
>>223562557So you're poor?
>>22355964711. It's kinooooooooooooo
>>223559647Im not a shillBut honestly how did this movie make so little on Friday
>>223561160Transition to clean energy only works if ALL the countries agree to it. But is there any way to ensure that happens? Your competitor can put off their clean energy goals and keep buying cheap oil for decades. And oil *will* keep getting cheaper, Arabs will make sure of that. And because of globalisation companies will flock to places that offer cheap electricity and labor. The only way is nuclear. Which is safe. But the elites would never allow that.
>>223559647It was OK. Same gimmick as birdman, "le thespian crisis". All bullshit arguments overseen and being paid by THE company. I guess Iñarritu can go and write, direct and star in the actual play, waste of a movie (I suspected he was a hack nepobaby snob, but every other new movie from him just hammers the point home).
>>223562834No? It’s just rather pointless and vain. It’s not my priority. I tried a little bit and it was meh.
>>223559647Inarritu: https://youtu.be/URSl2RGCaWA?is=Fpuj8zkVBcO9DCLH
So who gets shit on for losing 145 million dollars? I dont get how Hollywood can lose like 400 billion last year and we dont hear about finding executives in barrels full of concrete. The Mexican cartel skins dudes alive for like a million. No entire company or division of the industry gets fucking completely shut down? No studio closes up shop mysteriously?
>>223562557>>223562834Going to Paris was crazy. The plane doors open and the smell of dogs hit wafts in, no wonder perfumes so big there. England's too fucking cold and miserable, but the museams are nice. When the us was cheaper than australia it was more convenient, but why bother now
This sounds like a lot of cope for some flopping flick
>>223559647>Digger is not designed to be enjoyedNow that's some high-grade copium.
>>223562957Even if the whole world switched to nuclear power overnight with electric cars and trucks, electric freight trains and cargo ships, the problem is that there is absolutely no replacement for the jet engine. At best, you're getting a sluggish electric prop plane with an extremely short range. Crossing the Atlantic or Pacific or flying across the US or Europe? Forget about it.
>>223563338I fucking hated Birdman, but I didn't completely hate Digger
What did I miss in Digger? I had to do blow in the bathroom
>>223563593Yeah, birdmans a hard watch since you cant be on your phone, you end up losing the plot. I hear digger does a good job of restating the entire plot periodically
I can't believe this turd got a $165m budget, what a disaster
>>223563661>Old thespian slop good, new thespian slop bad
>>223563593Birdman is bad, like why should I care for this bad. Digger is technically passable, but its aspirations, themes and execution... I mean four people wrote the script, it's like Avatar level bad.
>>223563791They're both bad, but Digger has a kernel of something in its message that isn't invalid. Birdman was just made for faggot actors to suck their own dicks.
>>223559647This is how Tom Cruise would look without the plastic surgery and hair plugs.
>>223563808I wholeheartedly agree. Both are examples of a self centered "auteur" getting high on his own farts.
>>223561160That's a narrative myth invented by big oil to increase the scarcity of their own product. The "clean energy" is all products subordinate to oil, and often bought right from the same company that moves your gas into the pump. There is no growing pains. There is no cost of transition. The technologies have existed for decades and sometimes hundreds of years. Environmentalists turned their noses up at every one of them, from nuclear energy power plants to diesel cars with ultra low curb and rolling weights that get 200 mpg.The only interest is in solutions that lower quality of life, concentrate power and resources into the hands of a few state leftist cabals, restricts your ability to make decisions for yourself or travel freely and power up brown third worlders and prime them as a replacement working class.
>>223563778So i heard, he's saying birdman sucked
My Diggers, is there a shitty cam torrent out yet?
>>223561305I feel like this and some of the gifs will be the only legacy of this movie. Maybe it'll become Cruise's Freddy Got Fingered, who knows.
>>223559647Like everything else, this movie is just an attempt by hollywood to recapture the magic of Stanley Kubrick, but it falls short because the writers are not funny. It can't even present itself straight forward. It has to subvert the audience because they are hacks that can only copy, so they subvert it in an attempt to be artistic and original. They don't show the president and staff being rushed to underground bunkers. The movie doesn't redpill you on anything. Climate change? Climate change was 10 years ago. The world has plenty of other issues now. Hollywood always behind the times and out of touch with the audience.
>>223564284Basically just pol, keeping it alive in peoples memories because of edgy "15 year old humour" with the racism, which is weird because its a Mexican directed movie with tons of diversity starring a 5'9 midget
>>223564391>its a Mexican directed movie with tons of diversity starring a 5'9 midgetPerhaps the irony combined with the bombastic posters makes that stick. Sort of like how the only thing anyone remembers from the 2016 BFG movie are fart jokes and Big Fucking Gun edits.

>>223561160We already have infrastructure and stuff in place for big strides. We just need to do nuclear and then encourage electric vehicles. Certain aspects of industry can be slowly retooled away from oil and combustion while encouraging discoveries and development toward better sources of energy.China and the usa is already experimenting with different things like targeted solar, fusion and artifical suns. Its only a matter of time. What we really should be doing to mitigate climate impact is killing indians who keep shitting up the water with plastic and filth as well as developing pollution filtering tech and also probably killing the subhumans who knowingly make toxic smoke spewing shit. Its mostly nons btw.
would've been better if it wasn't about climate alarmism and more about creating singular entities holding all the effective wealth/power in the world.Could've easily just said "yeah this guy is a big oil guy but his family divided up all the power among things like the internet and all the media companies split among his family so nobody notices", would've worked more effectively.
