I got roped into watching Wonka's Golden Ticket with some friends. Aside from the cool sets, the whole thing is fucking terrible and hard to watch. I can't see anyone but braindead normies enjoying this crap.
But it got me thinking. The show is blatantly scripted, and is extremely unnatural the entire time. How do prize winnings work for a scripted show? They're supposedly giving away $3mil, but if the winner is predetermined, how is that legal? Surely the contestants that get booted off get a small payout as well, but there has to be something preventing them from railroading a random contestant to the grand prize.

I got three episodes in, and I couldn't take anymore.

>the worst group of adults you can imagine
>obvious scripting and overacting everywhere (fake tears and =O out the ass)
>you win the competitions not by being good, but by backstabbing other players and being cunts

Roald Dahl's family got $300+ million to sign away the rights to his stories to shitflix, and this is what they do. Dark times ahead.

As for how they get away with it, it's probably all in the contract.
