I miss Steak n Shake, scamdemic took away their 24/hrs so now the only option for a burger between midnight and 10~11AM is waffle house, and theirs are really bad. actually a Whataburger did open around recently, but it was pretty expensive and not great.
Those guys were slackers, 7:22 is probably the end of their day.
Back in the 90's the only places you could get a decent breakfast not cooked at home is an actual sit down diner, Mexican taco truck and 24 hour burger drive thrus.Now if you're 4 broke college students you don't have have enough money for a full breakfast at diner so it boils down to tacos or burgers for breakfast.

I wish every fast food still sold their burgers in the morning. the only time I use doordash is when I’m hungover in the early AM and it’s like your breakfast sandwiches or whatever are still pretty good but what I really want to eat right now is several cheeseburgers.
