Real life version of this just happened in Pittsburgh. But instead of killing his wife the intruder just raped her, then murdered the doctor.

Why do they have to put that shitty blue filter on everything!?

What happens after the credits roll:
Kimble is promptly returned to prison with additional time added on for the escape + all the other petty crimes he committed while on the run. If a retrial is granted, he’s waiting in the can for two years minimum and Nichols’ lawyer more than likely gets the confession thrown out as being made under duress.

Because Zoomers won't watch anything that looks like it is more than 10 years old.

Isn’t TLJ’s character the same guy from US Marshalls? I was so confused the first time I saw the other one, I was like wait where is Harrison Ford?
>>
>>223580159
US marshals was a spin-off using his character.

I wonder if it would have been good if they made more? Lord knows I don’t want a reboot.
>>
great movie. Kinda dips in quality a bit in the last 10 minutes but can't complain
>>
The bad guys in this movie are big pharma falsifying lab results to make a billy pushing their jacked up drug with a bunch of harmful side effects. If this movie came out today CNN would call Harrison Ford a vaxx denier, brought to you by Pfizer.

i rewatched this recently. wasn't as good as i remember. although the action set pieces were pretty impressive and hold up very well.

True

>>223578839
I really liked this movie but the final explanation for why he got set up was so stupid.
>>
was the tv show any good?
>>
>>223580911
No, today it would be the equivalent of the big tech oligarchy shoving data centers down everyone's throats.

He stole the ambulance, possibly get some kind of impersonating a medical professional charge, and probably have to prove he didn't kill the train cop.

Jones' character would probably try to get everything reduced as much as possible though after how much shit he put an innocant man through.
>>
>>223582849
they based a hit movie on it so i reckon

Well, here’s a fun fact: The movie went into production without a complete script. Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones wrote most of their own dialogue, including the “I don’t care” scene (the script had him saying “it’s not my problem”). The interactions between Jones and his team were all ad-libbed. They also had no ending and cycled through several different versions.

In one version, Ford and his wife had an unhappy marriage, and he ends up hooking up with his sister-in-law who helps him while he’s on the run. In this version, Ford’s father-in-law hired the one-armed man because Ford’s wife was going to expose him for sexually abusing both of their daughters.

In another version, the one-armed man actually works for Tommy Lee Jones. In this version, Jones had a wife he used to beat. Ford operated on her after a particularly severe beating, but she died, and Jones blamed Ford, so he coerced a petty crook into killing Ford’s wife in revenge, and when Ford goes on the run, he arranges to be assigned to the case in order to eliminate him before he figures out the truth.

Maybe with a really good lawyer he could say “oh well since the bus crashed I figured I’d take a leisurely hike around the woods for a bit lol” but once he starts actively running from & evading the cops that’s a hard case to make.

Also, there’s a longer cut of the movie where Ford hooks up with Julianne Moore, including a sex scene. That’s why she has third billing. But test-audiences disliked Ford moving on so fast and bedding another woman while trying to avenge his dead wife, so most of Moore’s scenes were cut, which really pissed her off since this was her first major role. A lot of Sela Ward’s scenes as Ford’s wife were also cut.

Joe Pantoliano’s character was also supposed to get killed by Dr. Nichols in the end. Pantoliano objected because he wanted to be in a sequel if there ever was one. Ford told him he’d never do another one, but he said Jones might’ve and they’d just be after a different fugitive, so Ford conceded and let Pantoliano live.

Jones also objected to his character shooting Ford in a building since the ricochets could hurt innocents. The director argued it’d look bad if he was willing to shoot the black guy earlier in the movie but avoided shooting the rich white doctor, so they added a scene after the black guy shooting where he tells the new guy in his team he never negotiates to establish that character trait.

I love this type of movie, 90s action thriller maybe?

I’m glad we got the movie we did because those ideas are all horrible except for Joey Pants getting killed. I like his character but the ending is a little too “and they lived happily ever after”.
