CG slop was great because it opened up a way for new aesthetics, no longer bound by cheap practical effects or even the limits of imagination. AI slop on the other hand is a middling amalgamation of all corporate-approved algorithmically-preferred "slick" art styles. It's fucking boring to look at. AI was at its best around 2022 when it still had those weird psychedelic qualities to it. It's been downhill since then.
