I feel like both Jason and Michael have a level of mass marketability that a lot of other slashers don’t. They’re completely silent forces of nature who exclusively kill adults and teenagers (played by obvious adults), so you can project whatever you want onto them. They’re also easier to dress up as for Halloween, and you basically always see them every Halloween.
Chucky and Freddy have much more personality, but it’s such an exaggerated, over the top personality that makes their murders feel less serious. With Freddy though, things can get uncomfortable for normies when the subject becomes too sexual. There are genuinely slasher fans who were upset that he was depicted as a pedophile in the 2011 movie.

Guess which one of these five I wasn't for Halloween, guess which one of these five I did back to back Halloweens.

Also , Michael and Jason are big, muscular guys, and if you search for Michael Myers on Twitter or Tumblr, you’ll see a lot fan art of a Michael fucking his sister or fucking ghostface.

It honestly sucks whiny fanboys killed the potential for sequels, Jackie was great as Freddy and now any reboot is guaranteed to be utterly shit. All cause people can't let a guy pushing 80 go and accept it's time to move on.

Michael is the definitive jannetty of the Big Four (Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street & Scream) slasher movies though.

'Ghostface' barely even counts. It's legitimately just a cheap a costume anyone can wear to take on the identity and be anonymous.

The original Scream should have ended with the protagonist actually being the killer in a crazy split-personality crisis she wasn't aware of the whole time, resulting in her having to kill *herself*. The movie is so ambiguous up till the reveal that anything including that could have happened, but that would have been way more fitting than what did.

Maybe in the 80s and 90s, yeah. He's definitely the biggest slasher today aside from Ghostface. Dead by Deadlight and the Blumhouse trilogy brought him back in a big way, even in terms of the Rob Zombie movies I feel like those are still talked about way more than most of the other slasher remakes.

Michael isn't big and muscular, he's an average sized dude

I mean in the first movie he’s height, but he keeps getting taller; usually, he’s around 6'2 to 6'4 and I think he’s one of the tallest human characters in Dead by Daylight.

He's really really popular with foids, literally all the women on twitter were gooning themselves when the Halloween Game glitched and let you see Michael Myer's face.

Michael would have got a lot of letters in prison
>>

He spent most of his life in a mental institution and later became essentially homeless, wandering from place to place.

There would 100% be a woman dumb enough to try and feed/house a violent almost seven foot tall murderhobo.

I'm pretty sure that does happen in the second Rob Zombie Movie.

Sorta. Redneck lady stops her dad and husband from beating him up, he promptly kills them and saves her for last.

Leatherface.

Scream.

It’s pretty funny to imagine all the other slashers as deformed, revolting freaks and then there’s Michael, who looks like he belongs on the cover of a Harlequin romance novel. No tragic backstory or anything, he’s just a gigachad hot guy in a mask.

Just remember, there is a version of Michael that is literally an innocent man who was possessed by a samhain cult as a child to become a murderous supernatural force of nature.
