Why did people love ragnarok but hate L&T?Did wakiki just wear the formula too thin in just two movies
Ragnarok was fun and the "gods" were doing godlike shit. Plus it had Hulk and Loki. L&T was annoying "ex girlfriend" shit, plus cancer...nobody likes cancer. And the gods were all derpy and ineffectual. It didn't help that Bale was hamming it up while trying to be taken seriously as a villain that looked like a beggar. Oh now lets throw in a whole pack of child actors, that's always a surefire winner. Oh now Thors powers are going to everyone, the ex girlfriend and even the childrenRagnarok felt comedic, but still enough seriousness. L&T just butchered all the characterization and made everyone seem like a clown

Possibly because he's "indigenous" and vaguely aligned with Biden-era liberal values. They seriously overplayed their hand with the relentless awards push for Jojo Rabbit and the legion of paid-off critics insisting it's a masterpiece, which many were able to see right through.The industry kind of turned on him after that and pretended they never thought he was that great in the first place, his next two films got trashed. I don’t hate it at all, but it way too many weird jokes and lightheartedness in a movie about slaughtering gods, cancer, and traveling to the end of the universe. Off the top of my head:-not one, not two, but more than three awkward “jokes” about stormbreaker being jealous of Mjolnir -Zeus being a greasy fat fuck for really no reason at all (Crowe is awesome but the characterization was awkward. I think a good way to handle a threatening being with comedy would be better like how GotG2 handled Aisha)-not nearly enough time spent showing Gorr the god butcher actually BUTCHERING gods, which was extremely wasted potential, especially since Bale killed itPros:-Eternity was done really well-there was cathartic payoff with Gorr, and the fulfillment for Thor losing everything now having something to live for with adopting his daughter-creature designs were really cool, and even though it was played for laughs, I enjoyed seeing all the different gods-the November rain bridge playing during the showdown was cool
