Its literally very out of character for her, mostly because there isn't enough time to justify this decision. Too much telling without showing in this series culminated in a lot of bullshit resolutions in the finaleI even knew for 3 episodes that she was the one who shot him, so its not even a surprise. But the idea that a woman in the middle of an emotional argument (with a guy who literally is not angry or emotional at all) just out of nowhere rounds on him, puts both hands on her gun, and fires at his fucking face, something that if you have ever had even a moment of firearms training you would absolutely not do as part of some exasperated outburst, is fucking wild to me. Like, it's not the "women emotional" part that gets me. It's that she's literally not even facing him, there's no threat going on, there's literally nothing happening, and somehow in a fit of emotion over literally nothing, she goes from just holding her gun in one hand, to turning a full 180, putting both hands on the gun, pointing it at his fucking face, and firing while screaming as if she was being attacked. How do you even DO that?

She could have just kept lying to him and let him mourn and then leave, but because Jon had his own shame from punching hal that night he was able to piece things together. It is all still dumb
