Am I wrong in thinking they did this purely out of malice? Like as bad as DBE was, you could clearly tell they were clumsily and incompetently trying to take an IP they didn't understand and introduce it to a completely wrong audience. With this here, Naruto's been popular long enough for most people to have a grasp on how it works, and there's an ocean of failed live actions so they know what NOT to do yet here we are right now. I can't imagine who this would be for, apart from that subsection of naruto fans who'd consume anything just as long as its official content (all of the anime that had bad LA adaptions have this unsavory part of their fanbase, they're practically cattle) Outside of that, I look at this here and I can only assume this is yet another live action adaption made by a group of people who want to partake in its popularity despite not liking the series and tacking the creator to it so any critique about its blatant inconsistencies, random unneeded changes and lack of understanding for the characters can be waved off with a "BuT hE wOrKeD on It ToOoO"
