I still can’t believe Showtime let Lynch do whatever the fuck he wanted. Double the episode count? Sure! The Nine Inch Nails? Go for it! Spend the entire VFX budget on one sequence and have the rest of the show looking like it was made in MS Paint? Why the hell not!

For something as ambitious as RbW, it was splendidly executed. Can you think of a single other show with that scale that doesn't look like cheap shit or falls into genre cliché hell?

Why is The Leftovers praised so much? I made it pretty far into season 1 and it was so boring and the acting sucked ass. Even tried again later and couldn't do it.
