What’s your favourite David Lynch thing?
Naomi Watts furiously masturbating and crying
>>223597052I remember seeing that when I was 10
Inland empire is one of the greatest contributions to cinema
>>223597022Twin Peaks is a live action anime about life
>>223597068the horror
Getting his female actresses naked
>>223597135Kek
>>223597022I've only seen Twin Peaks S1 and 2, Fire Walk With Me, Lost Highway, and Blue Velvet.I hate how it made me feel but Fire Walk With Me was probably the best one.
>>223597022Blue Velvet I think is his magnum opus, Wild at Heart is my personal favorite, and Elephant Man makes me cry every time. I don't care for his later work for whatever reason.
>>223597022The episode with the nuke in The Return. Same episode as nightmare coal miner Abe Lincoln. Hard to beat outside of his interviews.
>>223597022Lost Highway followed by Inland Empire. I still haven't seen any of Twin Peaks past the first half of season 1 but I'm really not feeling it.
>>223597022Dune
>>223597022Fire Walk With Me
>>223597022So what did this scene actually mean?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QJpY2VNP0E
>>223597342If you like Inland Empire (as you should) then it's hard to imagine you not liking TP The Return, even if you don't get into the first two seasons.
>>223597154This. Hard to pull a scene out of it that's my favourite, it's all so good. The story is pretty simple but I really liked it even back in the day when I didn't fully understand it, the mood is just so good.
Inland Empire is actually his best film
>>223597575It's hard to say what his best is overall, but stylistically Lost Highway takes the take.
>>223597408A metaphor for family discord and, at the same time, falling down a rabbit hole
I will watch the Comaland 4-hour Fire Walk With Me television event. I'm assured of this.
Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive are great too, but a little too cold, too dark, and feel like a bit forced.Inland Empire strikes a good balance and also shows Lynch’s kindness. The souls of the prostitutes and actresses are ultimately redeemed at the end.
FWWM
>>223597022>What’s your favourite David Lynch thing?MOMMYBABY WANTS TO FUCK
>>223597303Haha add straight story to that list and those are literally his worst works.
>>223597408It doesnt mean shit, Lynch was a hack
David Lynch is the EPITOME of insisting upon itself
>>223599237>>223599245
>>223597154This. My october watch every year.
>>223597154I like the poster
that time he gave Mädchen Amick the ick so bad she turned away from white men foreverhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A1MRk-51PY
>>223597070>>223597022I was just about to start Inland Empire the other day but I wasn't awake enough so I paused it after this intro with the bunny family. What am I in for?I really like found footage stuff so it looks kino already.
>>223597022Twin Peaks as a body of work (books, movies, show) is the pinnacle of human artistic achievement.
was always overrated . quit pretending to like his shit.
>>223597022Blue velvet is the one I keep coming back to rewatch the most.
>>223597022LYLE!!?! ;_____;
>>223599420It's very strange but if you like Lynch, you'll enjoy it. It was his first work after converting to digital.
>>223599347Yeah, and her mulatto offspring are so mentally ill she's now a spokestard for the APA.
Who was the best TP wife and why was it Audrey?
>>223599037Straight story is literally his magnum opus you pretentious pleb
>>223597022quinoa, but also blue velvet with some of the cut scenes
>>223597408I'm going to find out one day.
>>223597082A slow as fuck paced slice of life, but in Washington
>>223597154That's fucking crazy, man.But yeah, Lost Highway is probably my favorite Lynch movie. I love the mood and tone of it and the fact that it's so cinematic. The quasi-horror movie feel is so thick that when Patricia Arquette is looking down a long, dark hallway, you are the one looking down the dark hallway.
>>223599512Watching Blue Velvet makes me feel like I’m going insane. If art is supposed to evoke emotion then this movie takes the cake.
>>223599525It's rare to see a movie that shows genuine human emotions and behavior.
>>223597850basado. despite all the problems with the production, it's so good.also kino art
>>223597022The Return
>>223597022Mulholland Drive, Fire Walk With Me, and Twin Peaks season one could all be it
>>223597022>>223597070Kill yourself
>>223599037Gen z with the low iq takes yet again
>>223599882Audrey seems like she would be unbelievably loyal if you got with her. Like doesn't leave the house unless you're with her and doesn't mind it levels of loyal. To a scary extent, almost.
>>223597022The Return. But after that, it is unironically Rabbits.
>>223597022
>>223597022the time he was on Louie is the best thing he's ever done for me
>>223597070POWER, POWER LOOORD
>>223600962Dahl?
>>223600984>that's short for champion
The Straight Story or Inland Empire
>>223599525Holy fuck that ending gets me everytime
>>223597022>Lost Highway was incredible, almost as incredible as the taste of Georgia Coffee! It's brewed rich. Damn fine coffee, right?
>>223597850I just watched this right after both seasons of peaks, which I liked a lot, and was kinda bored for a lot of it.
>>223599449That's Mark Frost, not Lynch.Lynch only directed 2 or 3 episodes during the orginal run.
>>223602088Yeah and they were the best episodes
>>223597022Twin Peaks Season 3 I need to watch a straight story but keep forgetting
>>223597082Japan fucking loved Twin Peaks tso much nerds would hold fake Laura palmer funerals and march arounfd Tokyo with a casket
>>223597408The entire script of Rabbits can just be rearranged to make more sensehttps://filmboards.com/t/Rabbits/Dialogue-put-in-order-by-me-%28makes-sense%29-%3A%29-1181792/
>>223602164I remember during the world cup, an anon from belgium accidently made a twin peaks thread on /sp/. Every poster in there was from a different country.
>>223597575I love how Lynch cast a guy who 'alledgedly ' killed his weird whore wife as the demonic cameraman . Like what was going through that actor's head during those scenes lol
Deeply misunderstood. Literally me at a point in time.
>>223602313Wish they brought him back somehow in the return. From what I heard, the actor worked for Lynch's production crew.
