He's genuinely a great actor with an insane range. He can do intense drama, comedy, action, complete unhinged lunatic energy, pretty much whatever you ask of him. The problem is that his career went down a weird path where he was making so many forgettable and slop movies that people started judging him by the bad stuff instead of the good stuff. Every few years he'll show up in something great and everyone suddenly remembers, "oh right, this guy can actually act." But then he'll do 15 straight-to-trash-incinerator movies and people start laughing at him again.
o, my nicolas coppola
>>223602109It's well known he started taking on roles on garbage films because of his severe debt tho. Kind of his own doing. He was buying dinosaur bones and haunted houses that he couldn't really afford.
>>223602630>He was buying dinosaur bones and haunted houses that he couldn't really afford.what a chad
he's been back to doing stuff he wants to do for a while now and people are receptive to iteven during that dark period (~2013-~2020) he still put out some good roles like mandy and mom & dad. the trust is really underrated too imo.
>>223602109He’s always been too affected and a real try-hard. Charisma and popularity… that can be different from actually being good at something. Cage won accolades from Hollywood, that’s saying very little. He’s a more likable version of Jack Black, another actor plagued with the parody of a cartoon to the extreme complex. Cage is a bad actor, it’s entertaining but it’s not real, it’s exciting and engaging but it’s a joke about reality that gets old. It’s too much, and too affected.
>>223602734ESL retard
>>223602734Wrong. Nick Cage is the greatest actor of all time, including the future.
>>223602630>>223602640NGL that sounds cool AF. If I ever been a rich and famous Hollywood Chad I would 100% be living my best life buying T-Rex skeletons and historic mansions with colorful histories.>Ranaissancemanmaxxing
>>223602851Don't forget his private, tropical islands too.
>>223602630Aside from the yellow fever, he's pretty relatable for a nepo celeb
BIG
>>223602109He had to pay his debts and chose to work off to pay them. His words. That's why he took so many dtv flicks.
Mandy is one of my favorite films. I've only watched it three times though
>>223602873Ultra based. Puts all those fags to shame that waste their $$$ on stupid big city condos and townhomes and shit. This guy know how to live
>>223603635>>223602109He used to do it to pay off debts but now he's free and just does it for the love of the game. His talk with Joe Rogan revealed he's kinda a workaholic, prefers to keep working because he still can. Based mindset desu.
hmm
What's his most underrated movie and why is it 8MM?
>>223604891not familiar with his filmographie but Bringing out your dead is up there. or down there, depending
>>223604929That one is good too
Nic Cage and Gary Oldman are the only true actors alive. Any character, any disposition, hero or villain, they nail it every single time (even if the movie stinks) and you have no problem believing their performance.
>>223602109you’re a faggot for caring what others thinks. cage is one of the best.
>>223604891
>>2236048918mm is great. peter stormare and james gandolfini too. same writer as seven and the vibe is similar.
ayo hol up
>>223606550So yo be sayun..
is he the ultimate example of a nepo baby giving it 200% due to insecurity from being a nepo baby?
>>223602109HAIL SATAN
>>223602109I thought it was pretty cool that he said Face/Off was his favorite movie that he was in during a GQ(iirc) interview on YouTube.
>>223604891i like when they point out how tiny asian penis issmarr, rike a braby
>>223602630He also had a crazy comic collection that was priced in the millions. Think he had to sell it at some point to pay off debt.
>>223602630>buying dinosaur bones and haunted houses that he couldn't really affordsame energy
>>223603952wtf is cosmatos’ deal? it has been way too long since his last film.
>>223607268No, he sold it off because during his three month marriage to Lisa Marie Presley she told him comic books were for children and he should grow up.
>>223610512last I heard he was working on a Guillermo del Toro project, some fantasy tv show
>>223602109I guess you could say, He's an "Army of One".
