will this movie help me get over her?
>>
Other way around

fpbp
You've fallen in love with the "idea" of that woman.
>>
>>223602269
that's everything in my life. Nothing was real
What meant so much to me in hindsight was probably just a casual fling for her. A game.
Those memories I replay in my head everyday are just fading memories for her
It all ended as quickly as it started, but the pain lingers and I have no closure. Shit just happens and I don't know what to make of it, and before I know it, it's gone
>>
>>223602184
Do we like this movie?
>>
>wanna come up for drinks?
>I'm gonna marry you
>can I come back to your place, to sleep?
>I don't fuck people to make them like me, okay??
Clementine was such a fucking slut
>>
>>223602427
yea... my experience back in 2016. i wonder if she even thinks about me anymore, but at the same time, now im starting to lose my care for it all too
>>
>>223602210
watched this after my last breakup. while it didn't make me want her back it did make me cry like a bitch.
>>
>you'll never get over the crazy one

too true to be honest
>>
>>223602605
I watched this for the first time couple of years ago. I can see why it was highly praised when it came out but it feels a bit dated now

No watch this

>>223603811
Dated how?
>>
>>223604077
Like the visuals / VFX must have been groundbreaking back then for an indie movie but I felt I wasn't really wowed by it.

I imagine people who watch The Matrix after watching a lot of modern sci fi action movies must feel the same way
>>
>>223604134
It was a low to mid-budget production with mostly practical effects

>>
>>223604134
Nigga, people were wowed by Gondry's deft directing skills not the VFX. You are absolutely brainrotted if that's what you got from this kino.
>>
>>223603855
horrible movie with a horrid ending. don't watch. emasculating and rancid. the ending tastes like ash.
>>
>>223604404
OP here, I actually did watch 500 Days a year or two ago. Yeah, piece of shit movie lmao

>tfw the women you've actually dated aren't an issue and you only think of them fondly, it's the high school oneitis who rejected you who is like an endlessly festering wound which won't go away despite your efforts to become more detached from it

So whats a good break up movie then

no, this will
>>
>>223602184
yes and no. you will appreciate the memories you made with her, and no longer want to erase her from your mind, but the heartache and feelings of betrayal will remain forever.

find another girlfriend ASAP. very important. it's all chemistry. right now you are grieving. swap grieving for fucking.

Doomed romance might be my favorite genre.

I dunno i was like 20 when i realised that romance is just you wanting someone who is higher on the value scale than you are. What a gay think rooted in evolutionary competetion. Friendship has always been the true love for me.
>>
>>223605400
I'm 34, which is part of why it sucks. The sense of shame over how I know I should have stopped thinking of her by now and I haven't, half of my lifetime later
>>
>>223602184
Don't know
My high school ex came back into my life after 20 years and I have no idea what to make of it.

were you not with any other girls after her?
>>
Worst thing you could do after a breakup is watch this movie
>>
>>223606650
What?
>>
It's one of my favorite movies of all time.
Helps me cope with the quirky chungus I left behind because I'm too spineless to committ and/or fess up.
>>
>>223603855
Nah piss off.
500 Days of Onions.
Peak hipster.
>>
>>223602427
I still reach out just to check in with her once a year. Some years she's busy and doesn't have time for lunch, but I always still try. She's never done the same.
>>
>>223606567
Literally me. I was 17 when I lost my v card to that 17 year old quirky chungus. Then we just immediately scattered like the wind out of each others vicinity ever since. I couldn't confess and committ. So she just moved on. Can't blame her. I'm an insecure, indecisive idiot.
>>
>>223606690
i'm going to go with getting butt fucked, probably worse after a break up than this movie
>>
>>223605684
Wow, because as a 20 year old you definitely had enough life experience to understand the complexities of romance.
>>
>>223607295
mine just ghosted me a year ago after I sort of spilled my spaghetti even though she came onto me.
A few weeks ago I ran into her brother who she lived with last time I was in contact with her. I was pretty sure she moved away and quit her job shortly after ghosting me because I went to her work and asked the workers about her. They didn't know who I was talking about, but her brother said she still worked there. He didn't remember me either, even though I was literally in their apartment and met him at least a couple times. I could have asked for more information because I had so many questions, but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Needless to say, it seems like she's doing fine. In fact it's as if I never came into her life in the first place.
I have no presence or affect on anyone's life, so my actions and the feelings driving them don't even phase the other person, so unearthing pieces of my past only to find them exactly as I found them before I formed these connections really fucks me up. It feels kind of haunting, like the world is in on some big joke to make me feel crazy and not only like this shit was embellished in my head but that it literally never happened

>>223605684
think of all of the things you learned in those 20 years. now imagine adding ANOTHER 20 years on top. imagine all of the new things you'll know when you're 40 that you didn't know when you were 20.

don't be naive, kid.

Stay strong Anon
>>
>>223603855
in hindsight this wasn't even that bad, if this were made today summer would cheat on him and the fault would squarely lie on him, maybe even accuse him of sexually assault on top of it.

we didn't know how good we had it
>>
So when did you guys find out that women don't have souls and everything that we were told as children was lie?
>>
>>223607295
You need to stop.

>>223604337
I got angry imagining myself trying to explain this meme to a girl and the myriad of ways she would not get it and twist it around.

It’s the pain of knowing what I should have done instead to be the kind of guy who got girls regularly and could still get them now. The other girls I didn’t pay attention to. The skills of getting and dealing with women I didn’t develop. The experiences I missed out on because I was some dumbass who thought about muh one true love instead of just slaying pussy and having fun. It’d be a completely different person if I had someone to show me the way, but by the time I realized this, I’m older, times are changing, I’m no longer connected to my social circle or in the same place I grew up in. I’m isolated, older so hot young girls are more out of reach, have no social circle so meeting them is cold approaches or dating apps. It’s amazing I still manage to get laid once in a blue but it’s so much ridiculous effort and it’s all through dating apps. I didn’t develop the skills to use my looks and feel comfortable around women. It’s still a “challenge”. Women find me attractive but can’t understand why I don’t act like a guy who gets them regularly and instead still display awkwardness and shyness. Confidence is either somewhat there or non existent. And through all the wisdom I gained, I know it’s because of all the milestones I skipped, the skills I didn’t develop, and experience I didn’t have when I was younger because I was chasing one fucking girl who didn’t give 2 shits about me. God fucking damn it.
>>
>>223602427
Anon. Im 31. Please never try to get even with women regarding who hurt who. Women are ice hearted witches unable to feel for us like we feel for them. Part of this is just consequence of evolution and the logical consequences of sexual dimorphism. Anyway, just try to not let yourself get so attached next time. Actually dont listen to me im 31 and single and come home to guitar abd videogames but fuck i miss the touch of une femme :(
>>
>>223605503
not op but i've been single for 2 years and it's fucking impossible to find someone new. everyone is empty and closed off. i genuinely wish the worst for everyone atp nothing ever goes my way
>skill issue
yeah so what? i'm retarded
>>
>>223609723
>everyone is closed off
I wish you weren’t right about this but this is demonstrably true. It’s not some usual complaint about kids these days, people are not people people anymore. Everything is also filtered through social media/dating apps so women aren’t forced to deal with what is in front of them, they can escape to their extreme selection and unrealistic world in social media. It’s a complete inverse of previous culture, everyone is trying their hardest NOT to interact in person. Shit feels impossible.

>>223602427
Why are we like this?
>>
>>223611254
>lack of developmental milestones
>being told how to feel and that the things you do feel don't matter
>feeling like a horrible person for not caring about the same exact things as another person
>being told that having needs is selfish
>being made to feel like you're always the problem and everything gets directed inwards
I think this is it for me at least. I should go to therapy but I spend so long ruminating on shit that I feel like it would take forever to communicate all the shit I already unpacked myself in all those restless nights
>>
>>223602184
No, it will probably make you rope.
