What did you think of it?
>>223612028Very fun
Its shit
Everything in this movie has been done before in many franchises not even named Resident Evil. In fact this movie has more moments that are similar to non-Resident Evil series than otherwise. But it’s still very entertaining.
I went into it knowing literally nothing about it. It genuinely feels like watching someone else play a video game for two hours. I was hoping it was going to be more like The Thing or something. The last act was beyond cringe. When the fat guy from Severance showed up I almost walked out.
With or without he name, I wasn't a fan. The beginning of the movie was fun for a while but as soon as the umbrella agents showed up it went down hill
>>223612028Literally a scam. Everyone is such a retard I can't wait for AI movies to be mainstream.Even if I watch 3 movies a day I will never have time to watch everything made between 1979 and 1999 in five lifetimes. Can't wait for AI Cregger.
>>223612319>>>223612028 (OP) #>Literally a scam. Everyone is such a retard I can't wait for AI movies to be mainstreamElaborate
>>223612028Very very good. Austin in particular was incredible. That boy has a future.
>>223612095What about it is like watching someone play a game? I keep seeing people say that, but this is exactly like every shit tier 4/10 monster movie ever made. Iron Lung is like watching someone play a game, and is an actual adaptation of a game, unlike Resident Evil which is written like the other zombie movies the writer made.
>I can't wait for AI movies to be mainstream.
>>223612392>FUCK fuck fuck>Did you guys just see that?>What the FUCK is going on?>Take that you mutant monster FUCK!Besides that, it was just the way the scenes were constructed genuinely looked like a video game.If the cure compound was so important to Umbrella, why did they hire an Uber driver instead of having a chopper pick it up?
>>223612362No.
I can't get over the climax. These scientists are trapped in a small room with a giant tentacle monster grabbing and tearing them apart. They're trying to grab the cure off the floor so they can survive, and one of them grabs it before turning their back on the monster and giving their coworker a double thumbs up. After she dies, another scientist grabs the cure and also turns their back on the monster before waving it in the air shouting "it's right here!" I know horror movies are known for having morons, and the movie wanted to be more gamey, but this was just pants on head retarded.
>>223612691To save money + there wasn't an emergency when they booked the order
>>223612028I liked it but I understand that this place sucks now so every thread is going to shit on it.
>>223613088>so every thread is going to shit on it.Then talk about why you liked it
>>223612371Indeed he does. He was fucking funny and then suddenly surprisingly moving. That’s not an easy shift.
>>223613109nta, but for me it was a smartly written dark comedy. In RE movies, we’re used to seeing protagonists that are hyper-competent badasses that take all the shit being thrown at them more or less in stride. This one replaces that protagonist with the guy sitting at the controller. He freaks the fuck out, screams, shit-talks, fucks up, shit-talks some more, celebrates. It’s fucking great.
>>223612950He is an organ driver. He shouldn't have something that's not an organ. Plus it wasn't an emergency about an hour or so before he got there? What was happening between the order and that time, people just having a weird cough? I just don't get how it can be Umbrella man says it wasn't an emergency, but they also needed an offsite spare at the same time.
>>223612028I'll wait for the critical drinker review
>>223613241Go back
>>223612028I hate millennial writing and marvel humour
>humour
>>223612028good Cregger movie.shit RE movie.
It's k. Being called Resident Evil is its biggest mistake.
>>223612028Ok movie, just not an ok resident evil movie.
>>223615794>the "good" RE movies btw...
>>223615819said who?there is more than one way to do a shit job
>>223612028Yeah it was really goodI don't get why they paid to use to resident evil name though it basically used nothing from the games and could have been its own standalone movie
Trevor's fucking dead man
>>223612095why is the fat guy from severance everywhere, he was in the fallout show too right?
>>223616167Been a while, anon. We know.
>>223616129>Yeah it was really goodmillennial shit
>>223616247So what if it was millennial shit? Would you rather it be zoomer shit like... uhh... hmmm....Well, this is rather embarrassing. Your generation is reaching 30 and has done nothing of note culturally. Don't even try to mention anything at all. Look it up. It's all millennials cosplaying your age. What a creativeless, purposeless, talentless, derelict generation your lot is zoom zoom.
>>223616284>So what if it was millennial shit? Then it's bad.The rest is irrelevant.
The themes at the core of the movie I enjoyed, Bryan's fear of having a child / change and how it manifests itself through different enemies throughout the film. The very end made me quite sad too but I think injecting him with the cure at that point would have been a lost cause LOLHaven't played any of the games so that was my 'first impression' but after uni is done for the year I'm gonna go and play them.
People defend it on the merit of encapsulating how it feels to play the games, except it doesn't even do ammo management right. His pistol 3D prints bullets up until the plot decides it doesn't anymore.
