Continued the waifu streak and watched Pretty Lethal starring Uma; she chews the scenery as a former prima ballerina and dons a sexy leather jacket. It's a serviceable horror-thriller with some great action scenes where dancer Maddie Ziegler kicks Hungarian ass, but it's probably a bit too girlboss-y for most anons. Oh well, I liked it.

Lana was very porny as usual, completely waxed everywhere like a dolphin. Tits and the armpit fat looked great though.

Didn't like that they did the same (waxing) to "sourdough" Newton, if it had some forearm hair scenes with her to contrast Lana's rubbery physique it would have been better.

Shit story, insufferably annoying characters though.

Today I watched:
The Dark and Wicked (2020)-Reminded me a lot of When Evil Lurks in the fact it's a throughly cruel, hopelessly bleak film. Pretty good
Dead Silence (2007)-The advertisements for this always scared the fuck outta of me as a kid, and the movie is actually scarier than I could have possibly fathom. Genuinely still creepy and the atmosphere and cinematography definitely still holds up. I definitely saw the foundation for Blumhouse considering the director.
Shivers (1975)-Quite enjoyed it and had better sex-crazed "zombies" than that piece of shit, "The Sadness".

It's like it's trying to be a mix of artistic and absurd while acting like there's some deeper meaning to the absurdity and it's a metaphor for the main character's existential crisis, which makes the portrayal of the absurdity as not absurd. I don't know.

>>223610738
Overexplaining everything doesn't make a movie better, sometimes it's better to leave things for the audience to infer especially when it comes to horror.
>Like he never told her to stand stock still and piss herself.
The movie shows us over and over again that the wish somehow created another version of Nikki, this "Freaky Nikki" persona who could be a demon or just an alter ego like a split personality, the result of a poorly worded wish, the nature of the Willow as a Monkey's Paw, or Bear's mental state when making the wish, all of which are hinted at as possible explanations in the movie. Over the course of the movie Freaky Nikki gradually becomes more and more unhinged, and increasingly more co-dependent on Bear to the point where she ceases to be able to live and function without being near him, and the wish clearly states she should love Bear more than anyone in the world which obviously includes herself.
>There should have been some wordplay
There was, you just didn't pay attention to the information the movie provided you with or you just don't care or know how to process it. The script isn't iron tight, but many of the criticisms I've seen of Obsession actually have an explanation if you just pay attention. She even says she was waiting for Bear to come home and didn't even notice she had soiled herself.
>>223610895
>why did the wish make her walk backwards inhumanly? idk because it looks weird and creepy.
Prime example of second screen viewing. The real Nikki is constantly fighting for control over her body from Wish Nikki. It happens twice the first night she sleeps at Bear's, then it happens again once she cooks his cat for him and puts a selfie photo she took of them together in bed while he was asleep and writing "not me" on it and "you" on another photo of Bear alone in his lunch box because she is either pissed at Bear or it's a cry for help. When she walks backwards into the kitchen she tries running back to Bear after but stops midway

I don't think it's possible for me to disagree with you more. I put CM in the top 5 in every category you could judge it in, the costumes, cinematography, makeup, sets, casting, everything is nearly as perfect as can be done. Michele is Dario's protege, after all, I consider him a top 5 italo-horror director up there with Dario Fulci and both Bavas.
the look of the movie just represents the time it was made, Barry Sonnenfeld crucially influenced the way tons of the movies of the era were shot

I don't mean that it's explicitly an adaption, more that it was an inspiration and I see the surrealism of Cemetery Man as being linked to how surreal comic books can be.
Reading wikipedia, it seems there was an actual novel called Dellamorte Dellamore that was the main reference.

I have to go with the same ranking as you. Zombie island is so good, animation is fantastic and creepy as zombies. Cyber Chase is crazy for doing so much, the dopplegang, gladiators, dinosaurs, the moon. The Witch's Ghost has immaculate feelings of fall and hex girls but isn't as exciting as others, alien invasion is a lot of fun but story is a little dumb. still love them all. Winnie is best girl

Scooby and Shaggy were always better bait than Daphne. Daphne getting kidnapped did almost nothing but result in her finding a clue, then she'd reunite with the rest of the gang after Fred and Velma basically already knew who the monster was.

Daphne being kidnapped did almost nothing for the plot. Velma always losing her glasses was lame, but her thinking the Black Knight was Shaggy with a cold was kino

It's all shit, my dad likes to watch it with me when we hang out and I have to pretend to be even the slightest bit engaged. The twists are always retarded
This episode we recently watched is a typical example: a group of people, ballerina, clown, bagpipe player etc find themselves stuck in a confined place of some kind with no memory of how they get there. Most of the episode is spent with the main character thrashing around and crying against the walls in the grating melodrama of the period. Me and my dad are trying to guess what the situation is: we both agree they're probably in hell, and the clown is the devil. Finally the main character gets an idea that they should climb on top of each other and he'll climb over the wall, then come back with help. They manage to do so, only for him to fall inanimate into snow and his true form is revealed: a doll! The camera shows the inside of what we now see is a bucket full of dolls, as they all lay there inanimate. A woman is selling them. Wow, what a twist!! Never saw that coming!!
Now let's think about this for a second.
1. Why the fuck were the dolls sentient? No reason.
2. How did nobody notice them moving around like they were alive?
3. If they weren't, and they're as inanimate as the end showed them to be, why were we shown an entire episode of them being sentient and animate?

It's literally just nonsensical. Rodd Serling was a retarded hack

This isn't a recommendation as it's popular but All Hallow's Eve 1 is probably the scariest anthology movie I've seen in recent memory.

Wrong, the main character ended up leaving the bucket because they were supposed to be physically capable of moving. It was only after he was out of the bucket that they became inanimate to faciliate the twist.

Thats one of the more surreal, psychological episodes. Its not really meant to be taken as a story where these specific dolls came to life for a reason. It was a "what if" thought experiment. What if these random toys suddenly gained consciousness and their life is kind of hellish because theyre trapped in packages and boxes.

Not one of my favorite episodes but its alright.
>>
>>223614790

Not that anon, why isn't it? Why didn't you stop watching it if you weren't engaged? Four strangers totally unaware of each other trying to figure out how to escape a seemingly impossible situation- that is the story. Them being dolls as a twist only explains the oddity of the situation in the first place. You could have made them four random people off the street from different places around the country. Have them try to escape, and then when one gets over the railing they die and no explanation is given why they were stuck there in the first place. Or them be stuck in a jail, and it turns out they all had amnesia why they were thrown in jail in the place. You see what I mean? The 'isn't that weird?' twist isn't the pull of the story, its more of an explanation to the set-up. Some of the episodes are weird for weirds sake, while others have a lesson behind them.

>>
>>223614813
>What if these random toys suddenly gained consciousness and their life is kind of hellish because theyre trapped in packages and boxes.
The issue is the consciousness isn't coherently depicted. It's one thing if they're conscious and stuck as dolls, it's another to be just like people capable of moving around but not actually when the twist necessitates them being dolls that have been inanimate all along. It doesn't logically follow

Please educate yourself. Twilight Zone is a mystery show. A "mystery box" show is one where the mystery is never revealed and so you need to keep watching episode after episode to figure it out.
The Twilight Zone is in fact the OPPOSITE of a mystery box show due to being an anthology.

its coming from inside the house, but no its a quirk of bizarre lack of city planning. there are literal mansions in the ghetto here.

>Do trick or treaters still happen at all?
I remember as far back 20 years ago even some of the copter moms were taking their kids to outdoor malls to trick r treat at storefronts
Can only image what sort of gimped corporatized halloween night candy runs are going on nowadays

>Big Ass Spider

There honestly should be way more than there are. Spiders are way more kino monsters than sharks and snakes.

>erm the fallacy you are committing here is known as affirming the consequent, which is a sub fallacy of assuming the biconditional, basically you are saying that if p implies q, then automatically q implies p, this is not necessarily true. consider the implicative statement that if it is raining the roads will be wet, now consider a situation where the sprinklers are on during a sunny day and they have not been properly calibrated, then we see a situation wherein the roads are wet and yet it is not raining. analogically you commit the same fallacy: you say if you are black you live in the ghetto, while this iimplicative statement is true, it doe not indeed follow that if you live in the ghetto then you must be black, consider the case in which the anon in question was a hispanic man, perhaps honduran. he may indeed be swarthy in color but he would not be classifiable as a black man.

Unfortunately there was no back and forth, only one person responded substantively to my post, the rest was low IQ seething by a likely 4chan pass user considering all the reply chains died at the same time after he got merked.
It's rare to get good replies to effort posts on this site anymore, it's been invaded by a bunch of failed redditors who got tired of being downvoted for being retarded

Keep taking snide potshots after you lost until you feel better about yourself. That's how you started the exchange as well and what it was always about. Just lashing out at the world for making you stupid and trying to shitfling to make everyone else as much of an unevolved monkey as you

The twilight zone bled into our word, but only within the toy bin. In this pocket of the twilight zone, the toys gain sentience, but only within the limits of the bin. The living toy climbed out, deciding he had enough of this prison, and he fell out of the twilight zone and back to reality, thus becoming an inanimate toy again.

What would have happened if a human looked inside? Can't say for sure since it didnt happen, they might see that the dolls are alive, or the magic of the twilight zone fades in the presence of the human and they'd just be toys.
