What's so good about this?
>>223613196>Zoomie can't self insert and instead stands around like ??? idgiShocker
Not much. The idea of fucking a hooker and letting the numbers insulate you was a good one. If you watch it as a straight-up horror film, it's just okay. If you watch it as a message film, then fuck off.
The atmosphere, weirdness, and refusal to give an explanation. It takes place in a dream world that's like our own reality but isn't quite the same plane of existence we live in.
>>223613196The one plot hole I cannot get over is that some potential victim would certainly commit suicide or die in another manner without having sex before the demon got to them, ending the cycle completely. It would be inevitable.
>>223613355Are you an idiot? If the person dies then it goes after the one before them
>>223613303This. Lots of props were deliberately odd, like that one girl's clamshell ebook reader on which she was reading a poem about the undetectable approach of one's own death (which is the actual topic of the movie)
Incel fantasy horrorPeople being punished for having sex
>>223613196It's about your own mortality slowly catching up with you. That twinge in your chest that only you can feel, which foretells a heart attack in your future.Isolated hedonism can only distract you temporarily, but only through accepting their mortality can a man and woman together find a kind of escape hatch from death, through marriage and family.
>>223613196It has good tension in the scenes where the monster appears or you think is about to appear. Ending isn't bad, which is saying a lot, many movies have shit endings.
>>223613196Under The Silver Lake is his only good film, but man what a great fucking movie that is.
>>223613196>What's so good about this?Maika Mid-roe in granny panties
>>223615203>Ending isn't bad,Isn't good either
Most memorable part was when the door gets opened and the monster is so fucking tall and crouches to get in the room. That was spooky. The concept of passing on an entity is pretty scary too. Also made me hate sex havers even more though.
>>223613196I have a prequel for this on my idea board. Basically some asshole rapes a witches daughter and get cursed and then killed and the spell is passed down the generations until it's used on a rapist in modern day but they have sex again too quick to get killed and eventually figures it out
>>223613196Comfy Detroit suburbs
>>223615677That part and when she's freaking out on the beach and runs into the barn are the best parts
>>223615652The friendzoned guy decides to die for love and the slut gives in and lets him, knowing they're both doomed, there's something to that. The premise didn't leave enough wiggle room for something more definitive.
If a bitch fucked me to pass on the std monster she's so fucked. It's going to kill me. No chance I'm getting laid after her.
>>223613196When's the sequel?
>>223615810This. I know atmosphere movies are hated on here for some reason but this movie reminded me of 90s horror. Long atmospheric shots with just music.
>>223616245she would just fuck another dozen or two men until she comes across a Chad. Women could avoid dying from this demon easily. Only men would have trouble
>>223613303OK concept, not delivered in a technically impressive way. Just a meandering mood piece and the mood is meh, not that eerie. Silverlake is enough.
>>223615677>the monster is so fucking tall and crouches to get in the room. This was oddly disturbing
>>223613196Smile did a similar concept but better
>>223614229That's not fantasy though
>>223613355Holy fucking autism kek, anon confirmed retarded
>>223614229God regularly punishes sodomites and degenerates. AIDS was literally a punishment from God for sexual immorality.
