Because this movie is likely being cancelled, I don’t feel bad about spilling details.
Film had two separate timelines unfolding at once. Sebastian Stan was portraying Thomas Wayne, Scarlett portraying Martha. Their storyline was a political espionage slow burn brand. It began with a boating accident. Thomas and Martha are grieving something but it’s not quite clear what. As they are shown to be entwined with the mysterious Court of Owls through Martha’s father Adrian Arkham (Charles Dance) Bruce is born and the Court expresses interest in the young boy. As the events uncovered in the first film come to light as blackmail material for denying the Court Bruce, the Waynes are ultimately killed.
In present day Bruce Wayne is grappling with becoming a presence in Gotham and a new philanthropist at the request of the mayor. He is not Batman every night anymore, and he no longer visits Arkham regularly. Wayne Manor is refurbished and he uses it to host fundraisers.
However, Batman suddenly returns, and he is seemingly continuing the work of the Riddler. Only, it’s not Bruce. This imposter is doing a damn good job of soiling Batman’s name. Bruce takes the mantle back up in order to find the imposter and clear his name.

Meanwhile Harvey Dent (Bryan Tyree Henry) and Commissioner Gordon are getting closer to identifying the identity of the Batman, that is actually Bruce Wayne. Later it is actually officer Martinez who unmasks Bruce but we will get to that. After some sleuthing and some key talks with Alfred, Joker, and Riddler, Bruce discovers shadow of the Court of Owls, but they themselves do not seem to be around or Bruce is constantly just behind them.
Finally Bruce unmasks the imposter and it is revealed the Waynes had an older son, Thomas Wayne Jr, a second role for Sebastian Stan. But Bruce falls into his trap and is unmasked and committed to Arkham. As Thomas Wayne Jr is shown going back to Adrian the film was to end with Joker howling in laughter as Bruce vows to escape.

this is so bad i believe you

How fucking hard is it to make a tight 90 minute-2 hour long Batman movie with emo Battinson? Shit writes itself.
>>
Personally I never believed it was coming out
>>
And Penguin was actually really good. I don't know what the fuck their plan was with Battinson.
>>
Why is Reeves intent on Batman looking incompetent? He didn't prevent The Riddler from flooding Gotham in the first movie, and here he'd end up in Arkham? You know Batman is like, a really popular character, right? He's meant to be cool, and competent.

>Because this movie is likely being cancelled
There's no chance this gets cancelled. They're going to finish it no matter what.

Reeves' Batman can kick the shit out of street thugs. He's just not good enough for supervillains yet. That's my take anyway. Still a bloated mess of a movie.

>Film had two separate timelines unfolding at once.
Stopped reading right here. Very gay.
>Sebastian Stan was portraying Thomas Wayne, Scarlett portraying Martha.
Stopped reading here after giving it another shot.
Extremely fucking gay. Should have been some randos from Court that interact with Waynes and maybe met Batman later on and help/oppose him.
Good thing it's as good as cancelled.

>Martha’s father Adrian Arkham
Oh fuck off. Martha's maiden name was Kane. Hence Batwoman's name.
>>
>>223614204
>Thomas Wayne Jr
Oh fuck right off. The bullshit evil twin twist? Even Scott Snyder's original Court Of Owls had that shit be a red herring made up by the court.
And they got the name from Owlman from the old alternate Earth where the JLA is evil.
>>
the whole court of owls thing was always retarded, even back when comics were more popular
whomstever conjured that up needs punched in the gunt

Modern Hollywood has no interest in making heroes.
They only want to tear them down.

I felt like it was kinda a lame retread of Ra's and Lady Shiva with the League Of Assasins. Though I think they dis try to show the two secret socities fighting and competing with each other. Snyder's original New52 run with the court was alright. Though even I thought it was a bit rough and overhyped. Dunno if I ever finished it.

The truth is that the Cout of Owls was just a repeat of the Morrison's run, more specifically the Black Hand arc.
>>
>>223614193
>Sebastian Stan was portraying Thomas Wayne
he was already confirmed to portray Harvey Dent
>>
>>223615633
Because Batman is a “White privileged asshole” (Reeves own words) who needs to constantly check his privilege and have other minorities tell him what’s right.

>Batman is now a prophesied mystic star baby sought after by an eyes wide shut cult
>They're taking the "y'all don't need to be no vigilantes just spend mo money on dem programs" shit seriously
>Secret basement castle freak brother that decides to show up just now
>Black Harvey Dent
Matt Reeves is a fucking retard and whatever "mental health problems" he's having I have no fucking sympathy for him. What a faggot.
