I was thinking about it, I've been posting here for like nearly 20 years or something, and I don't think I've ever once gotten a good film recommendation from this board. It kind of seems like the goal of everyone here is to figure out what the majority of people like, and then just do the the opposite. Which results in people trying to pretend the biggest flop of the year was actually secretly an underrated gem, and "everyone else was just too stupid to understand maaaaan". No, people understood- they just thought it was very bad. And not in a "oh, it's so difficult, what with the way it challenges my preconcieved notions about the world, and all" or something. No- it was just a bad movie with a dumb message that the overwhelming majority of people disagreed with and thought was stupid. They got it, they just didn't like it.
>>223620113still not watching it
>>223620113no, we're not being contrariandigger is genuinely a genius filmthe critics are wrong on this one
>>223620113>the only thing that matters is box office>No, people understood- they just thought it was very bad. the criticism of the film never analyses it deeper than surface level and they don't get the humor or tone of the film at all. misinterpretation is the same as being filteredwhat we are witnessing is the greatest film in the last 10 years and you are annoyed that you saw an actual piece of art that made you think instead of the mindless popcorn slop that normies eat up everydaythis is an actual masterpiece kino and the people who didn't like it, probably got filtered.
>>223620113I have been posting for 15 years and this bored has given me a handful of good recs I will list them now>Drive>Amadeus>The Master>The DescentBut for each great rec yeah there are digshit ones which I try to forget
>>223620206Yeah, bullshit like this is pretty much exactly what I meant. This is the same kind of person who will argue endlessly that The Odysee was trash because it was "too woke" or whatever- just garbage contrarian opinions
>>223620113>the goal of everyone here is to figure out what the majority of people like, and then just do the the oppositefirst day?
how much do they pay you ?
>>223620113>everyone else in the entire world hatedCritics are divided on itPeople who have watched it liked itPeople who haven't seen it are seething about it (as usual)
>I don't think I've ever once gotten a good film recommendation from this board.Probably because you're a retard in the fishtank threads. The same kind of retard who complains /mu/ doesn't like good music when you're only looking in the gook threads.
I have to read between lines to get a good movie recommendedSomebody mentioned Sorcerer once and it was fucking awesomeThen someone mentioned constantly CONSTANTLY Skinamarink and didn't read between lines and got a boring piece of shit
>>223620549Woah duality of /tv/ I found Skinamirink haunting and unnerving and found sorcerer (other than the bridge scene) a boring predictable peice of work
>>223620168Benicio is a better Del Toro.
