all they do is mumble and this bullshit realism

It's a lot of things. Celebrity worshipping foids and fags choosing the revolving door of pretty boys over people with talent, the sanitized, ultra-clean and neat presentation of modern filmmaking, too much subversion of tradition.

They still do but then you retards post "I'M ACTING"
>>

Because none of them perform on-stage
>>
Best acting I've seen in my life was done by a bunch of amateurs. Theatrical acting is just pure cringe

Nepobabbies and lack of formal training.
Even when they have formal training, the only people who produce and attend theatre these days are colossal faggots and geriatrics.

They get paid more on tv/films. That's it

i dunno about the Hollywood leading man idea, it was more like they just had to be good-looking or 'characterful' (think Peter Lorre)

there are still 'classical' actors and increasingly, it seems like they prefer the stage. picrel. i don't think he's a GREAT actor but he's made it clear he has a lot of gripes with television and film, from the bottom to the top.

i'd say Christian Bale has some gravitas. it's not that he has a rich booming voice or he's incredibly handsome, he's just one of those guys where you shut up and listen.
