Chastain is going HARD (I can't imagine anybody else in this), it's like the best Junji Ito adaptation of something he didn't make, the little girl is amazing, the rest of the cast is perfectly chosen, the themes are dark, and it's a Poltergeist-esque thrill ride that starts fast and never stops. I think the Mama style creature designs will seem silly to many, but I've got nothing but good things to say about this.

For a movie that marketed themselves as a action horror, I feel that it lacked the action. It seems like that little kid really limited the possibilities of crazier action stunts and shit cuz the main character had guns to deal with the dudes, but didnt go the chance to use them? lol .
