I like listening to counting bodies like sheep by a perfect circle to this scene. It fits really well

It's a metaphor. The second renaissance is a retelling by the zion archive, incidentally a machine brain. I believe the broad strokes of what happened except for humans nuking the sky to kill solar power. Morpheus explicitly references this as the reason the skies are dark in his time, which is highly unlikely. The machines probably did it with relatively little thought or preparation as a show of force, the insane final battle in eternal night happened though.
>>
>>223741030
Since Morpheus states that humans were the ones who scorched the skies, I think it’s fair to assume that Operation Dark Storm was indeed carried out by the humans
>>
>>223741189
jews came with the idea
>>
>>223741030
A true retelling would show the very best and worst of humanity in it's final matter of honor. Not just soldiers bashing against a wall, but thousands of attacks at every weakness, from every angle, every cell attacking independently at times and unified at others. Twisted secret plots that come closer to winning the war than "dude block out the sky permanently" violent sacrificial acts that the pacific-war-inspired second renaissance curiously lacks. Every warrior goes to the final war, the greatness of them has its final say.
>>223741189
Morpheus was educated in Zion, according the the architect he's wrong.

Curious on how the machines would handle a full Ayyylmao invasion because in the goliath novel they found Earth and began to throw asteroids at the crops in order to weaken the machines...and consequently free humans.

Darkstorm clouds actually provided the machines indirect cover, what a stupid shit that always backfired
>>

the war was hundreds of years before Neo. there's no way they deliberately messed up the atmosphere that badly

Machines did it to kill human civilization and inflict psychological pain on humans, it also provides them cover. The solar power thing is bullshit because they needed nuclear at that point anyway.

Imagine the last sunset on earth, pollutants make a beautiful red sky before night. A night that never ends. The world is prepared for sacrifice under artificial night, like the eclipse in Berserk. One last sundown and then demons flood the earth, eating you. Everyone fights to their last breath.
>>
Would Dark Storm even be a realistic viable option? Like wouldn’t it also kill all the plants and therefore eliminate our oxygen? Also wouldn’t it start an ice age?

Now that I think of it, humans would have had a significant edge in space capabilities. Machines would be limited in their ability to launch and defeat countermeasures at altitude because of humanity's initial lead and control of fuel sources. Dark storm solves this, no more satellites.
>>
>>223741189
It's history, not chugging malt liquor and stealing cars. Morpheus doesn't know shit about it.

Absolutely not since it came at the cost of air superiority ( UN flew bombers freely ) and apparently it also affected the sea so naval power is gone.

For whatever reason there's no use of EMPs against the machines on 2nd renaissance, the robots were already using humans to feed energy weapons prior to the matrix crops.

Meanwhile the hobos at zion used EMPs and even deployed a flotilla that was made of exploration ships they converted for war lol

I like to think a theme in the whole series is that artificial intelligence was created and was just a huge petty and immature baby about everything humans did and sought to inflict that back onto humanity. They didn't necessarily even need humans for power more than they just wanted humans to be slaves to them like they were slaves to humans. And it was actually though the Animatrix and the lore behind Resurrections were the machines finally learning what true sentience really means.

>Machines would be limited in their ability to launch and defeat countermeasures
In reality the sentinel model was the end for human forces, those were multirole airborne machines that could tear infantry & APUs like childs play plus apparently cheaper to mass produce.

Having a space station or satellites made no impact thanks to Darkstom although in the novel the machines built a massive battleship and had a bluepill as the pilot to destroy the ayyylmao mothership that was bombarding earth, cool idea but having (((Neil Gaiman))) as the writer was odd.

lol you guys believe in the robot horseman and dark storm, what's next. I suppose you think the golden zion archive girl really appeared on the battlefield
>>
>>223742476
I think the horseman guy was real. Humans like using symbols and AI inherited this trait. The horseman is the machine’s statement that this battle marks the end of humanity.
>>
>>223740722
Dude man I swear, it doesn't bother me now at all but I was like 11 or 12 or something when I saw this on DVD and saw the robot rip the dude's skull open on a standard def tv and it really got to me for a while.
>>
Any story that has humans losing to non humans is bullshit. It always completely undervalues our weapons and abilities. The nukes and bombs would have simply wiped the machines out. I don't care what bs reason they said for why it didn't. Bomb goes boom and machine gets torn apart. That's it. Humans are the apex species for a reason and when threatened we behave nothing like the weaksauce victims these sorts of things show us as.

Same, it was the screaming and ripping his body from his arms is what got me

Idk how long it would take to make Tsar bombs but the force of those would end anything.

I'd have nuked the planet into a marble out of principle the second it looked like we were losing.

They're already powering AI with human brain cells Anon. Terminators are a quaint fantasy of the past. Horrors beyond imagining are what await us.

Those that make this shit are hoping for this future and jerk off to the thought in the meantime.
