This made basedlennials scream and shit their pants in abject terror
>>223744382i didnt even jump at this scene
It's pretty impressive how it managed to be scary despite being daylight with tons of people around. Most scary stuff springs out from the dead quiet of night.
>>223744382we were like 6 years olds back then
>>223744514pussy
This is objectively not a scary scene and the film is awful.Like the awful prequel trilogy it survives on the nostalgia of people who were children when they first watched it.
what's zoomer horror, making eye contact with a cashier? a classmate that doesn't identify as non-binary?
>>223744535liminal spaces
>>223744382>2002what was this movie again? that can't be right, or was there some other movie like this in early 90s?
>>223744535Zoomer horror is “the monster is actually an allegory for the patriarchy”
>>223744535empty rooms
>>223744382Signs is kino. If you don’t get it you’re fucked.
>>223744382you weren’t there, you wouldn’t understand.it was a different time. they don’t make em like they used to.back in my day we had respect for our elders.those were the days.
>>223744382Nobody was scared by this. A Scary Movie sequel came out shortly after and utterly ripped the shit out of how stupid this was by having the same scene only the alien does this gay nervous fast walk instead.
>>223744382my friends in high school said that i walked like this alien. i loved those guys but holy fuck they knew how to get you
>>223744535Opening the door too early and having to interact with the Doordash driver.
>>223744382People laughed at this movie when it came out
>>223744382This was a private meme between my brother and I when someone walked into view>eez behineLol
imagine being an advanced space faring alien race and getting beaten by a baseball bat and a glass of water. why didn’t they bring weapons?
>>223744382I was so impressed by that scene that I had to look it up to make sure it wasn't real. It's really well done and exactly how I imagined a real recording of a live alien would go. The movie itself was ok, but that one scene was breathtakingly horrific.
>>223745203>They invaded Earth, a planet filled with water, that's like acid to them. Naked.>Supposedly the DESERT middle east worked out how to kill them but nowhere in RAINY Europe did>Some retards claim they're demons but they still die to water and some retarded kid slapping them with a bat so it changes nothingIt's such a shit film. The aliens/demons had no plan, somehow caused mass casualties despite sauntering around in the nude with no weapons and the military supposedly were helpless against the nude green mincing hordes.
>>223744382I know you stole this from the thread I posted it on the other day to compare it to that tranny Hunter
>>223744588Kek
>>223744535Zoomzoom here, the horror of our generation is found footage. Childhood started with Lost Tapes and currently Analog Horror.
>>223744676>back in my day we had respect for our elders.Yeah yeah most of you gen Y are still bitching about how boomers ruined your life while ruining everything for gen Alpha kids in the process.
>>223745407>gen Y bitchingmillennial projection
>>223745375STFU THE ADULTS ARE TALKING.
>>223744916understandable; they're usually brown
>>223744535umm sweaty this is what zoomer horror looks like https://youtu.be/0wEqkxWW1qwshow some fucking respect
I jumped at this scene lol
>>223745451I'm a 29 years old ( identified as a teenager to avoid responaibility )
>>223745477>The last of usHe said zoomer, not millennial
>>223744382The corn scene was spookier.
>>223744535The Phone.
>>223745737Phone horror movie exists though. That was also millennial horror.
>>223745755oh not like a killer on the phone, a haunted phone, or being trapped in a phone booth.just The Phone.
Shyamalan is the biggest example of a one trick pony. He made one good horror movie and that was it.
>>223745763That movie was literally that. Regular phone but it received phonecalls from dead people. These movies are such a time capsule too because millennials were addicted to flipphones back then.
>>223745789still 2spooky.whenever i call anyone under 30, they act like it's some personal affront i did something so intimate. you're meant to send them a text message and ARRANGE a phone call first.it's a fucking phone call. that's like asking>is it OK if i email you tomorrow?
>>223745375The blair witch project was around when 99% of zoomers weren't even born.
Is this all that sharty zoomers do all day?
I feel like alot of people who bitch about le zoomies are zoomers themselves and mistakenly label alpha kids as zoomers. Brother, if you have nostalgia for early 2000s horror then you are a zoomer. Millennials watched late 90s horror because that was their actual childhood.
>>223745796>you're meant to send them a text message and ARRANGE a phone call first. The fuck are you on about lmao? Even boomers can get pissed if you call them at inappropriate hours. Learn how to not being a nuisance.
>>223745863you can simply not pick up the phone.twentysomethings act like a phone call is a 'meeting' because they're used to Skype/Zoom/some other VoIP meetings.meanwhile they'll tweet all day, so maybe the next generation will be>um couldn't you have asked permission before replying to my posts...? i felt anxious and you didn't even check first.
>>223745802>The blair witch projectNot revelant to the discussion. That is like saying boomers can't possibly know about body horror because Frankenstein was written in the 1818.
>>223745878>you can simply not pick up the phone.Again, the fuck are you on about? Calls have ringtones and shit like that. You call me at like 12PM just to ruin my nap and expect me to not complain? You do read like an alpha kid who hasn't develop awareness of the world around him and doesn't use the phone cause he has no money. Try to ask your filthy zoomer friend what is his schedule before making random phonecalls, i'm sure the 29 years old will be patient enough to guide the child.
>>223744382As a 10 year old when it came out, that scene didn't scare me, but the jump scare where the ayy sticks its hand under the door did.
>>223745925i'm in my 30s. did you unplug your landline whenever you felt like snoozing? nuisance calls were always a thing.you can live with noise, how the hell do you function on planet Earth?
>>223745945>did you unplug your landline whenever you felt like snoozingLiterally a habit from GenX parents so go complain about this matter to them. >you can't live with noise, how the hell do you function on planet Earth?Guess what? Noon and night are often quiet so people can sleep so yes, human needs to stay away from noise from time to time. For a 30+ years old, you seem extremely oblivious and high energy for an adult.
>>223745984lmao i can't believe we're the same species.some day you'll have to sleep somewhere that's too warm/cold, you don't have blackout curtains or an eye mask, and birds are chirping outside. i just hope you have enough Valium and Ambien to get you through the night, anon-kun.
>>223746020>some day you'll have to sleep somewhere that's too warm/cold, you don't have blackout curtains or an eye mask, and birds are chirping outside.Sorry, i'm not a homeless crackhead and i don't sleep in the morning. Sucks to be you.
>>223745375>Zoomie, I am your father!
>>223746066Looks like an average gen X dad to me
>>223745879What I mean is what you call the horror of this era- analog stuff- it became popular when millennials were coming of age. Blair witch is only the tip of the iceberg, the genre exploded when millennials were young adults and older zoomers were in elementary school. You know what doesn't follow that pattern? Liminal spaces and stuff that actually characterizes zoomer horror instead of popular stuff inherited from previous generations.
>>223744382this was a very scary scene
>>223744382
>>223746396>Liminal spaces and stuff that actually characterizes zoomer horror instead of popular stuff inherited from previous generations. Is that the same with millennial horror? Most of them were inherited from something that came before. Blair Witch itself borrowed elements from GenX/Boomer horror such as Cannibal Holocaust and The Hill have eyes. What's up with the self importance?
>>223744382It’s a long legged pissed off Puerto Rican
>>223746396>Liminal spaces and stuff that actually characterizes zoomer horrorLiminal space is just nu-gothic horror. The genre was defined by "scary supernatural location" and has been done many times before, particuarly The Shining.
>>223744382Why abject, specifically?
>>223744529>you kill le spooky aliens with a super soaker well that's a bit anticlimactic
>>223746789Signs reminds me of that one Martin Mystery where the alien mushroom's weakness was salt.
>>223746546Kek
>>223746789>>223746881i'm fine with aliens' kryptonite being water tbqh, that's a neat idea.>hurr durr why did they go to a WATER planetwe'd all die in space because 'muh oxygen!', and yet we all want to go to space.
>>223747020It might be a good idea on paper since the ayylmaos can use our water to make their own version of the atomic bomb to wipe the enemies on their home planet, but why come here butt naked? That's the equavilent of working in a bioweapon lab while wearing nothing but a boxer and slippers.
>>223744382I fapped to this scene repeatedly
>>223744382This wasn't scary, it wasn't supposed to be scary. They had already almost encountered aliens 1st hand at that point. This was just the point that confirms what they know. It's just a video in the movie, not even something happening to the characters you care about. Maybe that's why zoomers think it's supposed to be scary, it relates to the characters past trauma and there was no trigger warning. Horrifying
>>223744853>Walks the other way when the news anchor does a replayKek
>>223744382Zoomer here. It made me shit and piss myself.
>>223745293They were supposed to be demons, the water was actually holy water. The little girl was supposed to be an angel, she blessed all the water in the house. the radio broadcast toward the end said people found a way to beat them in jerusalem (holy land). Its about mel gibson’s character struggling with his loss of faith after his wife was killed by a sleepy driver. He overcomes the invaders by regaining his faith which enabled him to see signs of god’s plan all around him. Excellent film.
>>223744535kek
>>223744382Fuck you this scene was good. >this scene I've only ever seen on youtube with none of the context up and build didn't terrify me!no shit retard
>>223745737but who was phone?
>>223744438it's hard carried by the music sting and the fact watching this in a crowded theater would amplify it 5x
>>223744535Zoomer horror is>Dating a girl who likes you>Being a black guy in an empty building>A comedian making a joke about women's gymwear
>>223744382the kitchen pantry scene was scarier for me
>>223744382VAMONOS
>>223744382Why are we zoomers so much into generations and shit?
When I was a little kid, the scariest scene for me was when the alien is holding the kid and gasses him or whatever the fuck it did.
