It has also become apparent that a major driving factor behind the series was Cameron's producing partner Jon Landau who past away shortly after Avatar 2 came out. It seems like without Landau Cameron doesn't have the interest for it.

>>223751534No. They say this about every upcoming movie then it comes out just fine. Then they'll say it flopped and it's actually fine. It just generates buzz and outrage bait. The last movie made over one and a half billies. They definitely see it has plenty of audience. They can only blame themselves for fucking it up demanding last minute changes to the story which resulted in it seeming too much like the second movie. That's their own fault it didn't make more money.
