cdrama generalwhat are we watching?
does china have any prestige tv like sopranos?
no one watches cdramas here?
>>223753345does blossoms shanghai count if it's by a hong chong director?
I recently watched Why Try To Change Me Now. Definitely kino in terms of cinematography and maybe the most immersive cdrama (or even asian drama in general) I've ever watched. More for connoisseurs though. It's an interesting experience if you've got the patience to appreciate it
>>223754120that one actually looks kind of cool. doesn't seem like a super long investment either. might give it a try
Reset and Bad Kids are pretty good entry level cdramas, quite entertaining even for a Westerner.
>>223754427I will warn you that it takes its sweet ass time with its pacing. The thriller and suspense tags are a bit misleading. Maybe more accurately described as a thriller presented as a slice-of-life (like The Long Season but even more committed to this idea). There's lots of scenes of mundane life that aren't directly related to the core mystery, lots of long single take shots, lots of lingering. Dunno quite how to describe it but it kinda makes you feel like a bug on the wall. Immersed but also quite distant. Anyway, it's definitely one of the more unique cdramas I've seen
fanservice!

>>223754437>bad kidsI've never heard of that one. What's it about? I'd add the blossoming love, make a wish and love in the clouds too. Maybe with the exception of the first one, there's universal appeal in those.
