The rest of the episode just felt like a lot of things happening arbitrarily, just switching back and forth between the throne room and the dungeon, with some inserts of the Enterprise between to break it up a little. DeSalle being such a skeptic to balance out the superstitions of the remaining bridge crew endeared me to him a little, but he's such a flat character otherwise. That line about Navy Beans is so lame, and yet delivered with just a pinch of bravado mixed in with his regimented persona.The ending with the little marionettes is cute, but the intervening half hour is so poorly plotted out that it falls about as flat as Korob & Sylvia's true forms do, especially when the closer just reminds us that Jackson died for this silly story.God I really wanted this to be good, but it's so bland and that's so much worse than being bad. At least it had some fun moments.
