Just finished this, the best Lynch movie and one of the best films ever in general
I just finished the entire series. I don't get it
You haven't finished anything.You've only begun.https://archive.org/details/fwwm-extended-blue-rose-cut_20230908
>>223756931last time I watched an episode of this show I snorted ketamine and ended up in the episode.
>>223757059not canon
>>223756931The show really ruins the movie.
>>223757106Its from the screenplay. So it is.There are things in there that play out in Season 3, that aren't in theatrical cut.
From pure air. We have descended.. from pure air. Going up and down. Intercourse between the two worlds.
>>223758101That scene in >>223757059Is amazing
EEEEELECTRIIICITY
>>223757361>its from the screenplay. so it is.what a ridiculous statement. What does Lynch say?
>>223757110interesting. did you see the movie before the show? i always wondered how that would affect viewing the show.
>>223757059>https://archive.org/details/fwwm-extended-blue-rose-cut_20230908My favorite version is: https://archive.org/details/twin-peaks-fire-walk-with-me-teresa-banks-and-the-last-seven-days-of-laura-palmer-2014-hd-rawApparently there is a 4k version 2 out there, but I can't find it. I only have the original release.
>>223757085Normas cherry worth the hype?
>>223758101That scene is probably the best representation of astral entities.
I read the bottom post as a response to the former and lol'd>>223758245https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kwNlcN1QYg
in fact we're not gonna talk about judy at all
Yeah it’s kind of the best lynch thing because he gets to have his cake and eat it too. It’s completely absurd and surreal but it has the lore of the show to back it up
>>223756931I have two more episodes left in season two and I'm watching the movie next.
>>223760285>more episodes left in season twogood for you for powering thru bro :)
I still have an old VHS of Saturday Night Live episodes I taped in 1992 and there's a weird ad for this movie that ends with a lady just screaming. As a kid I never imagined I'd have any interest in watching it.
>>223760319Hasn't been easy since Billy Zane arrived. Show's getting real dumb.
>>223760343luckily the last episode is kino and then you're so back for fwwm and the return
Someone recommended The Return to me and said I didn't even have to watch the original series to enjoy it, but there's no way I'd do something like that. I'm glad I'm going through everything in order.
>>223760370that person is insane
>>223756931Good Stuff for Good People
>>223760285>How's Annie?Hahahahaha
>>223760370It would not make any sense. It also kind of won’t make any sense watching it the right way though
>>223757110The original or the return?
>>223760400Wish in The Return, we'd at least got a shot of leo Johnson
>>223756931now watch lost highway or blue velvet
>>223760466>MANN SIEHT IHN UM DIE KIRCHE SCHLEICHEN
>>223760443kek
Yeah, the long version>>223757059is probably my favourite Lynch movie after Inland Empire. He's one of those directors who are at their best when they kinda work in a long form format. It's such a pity we never got Unrecorded Night and whatever the serialized version of Mulholland Drive would have been.
Teen Witch

>>223756931>>223757030unironically is better without watching the tv show first
>>223757030Freemason shit
>>223761545https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxxBXpnn2Jw
>>223756931agree
>>223762029https://youtu.be/4dOkWqgM_oI
>>223763978we love laura here
>>223756931I don't know, watching Laura Palmer screaming and being tortured for an hour or more isn't the most fun viewing experience
bob orb
>>223756931wrong on both accounts
>>223764127>WE ARE SEX BOB-ORB, 1 2 3 4
>>223756931LMAO why are lynchtroons so pretentious
>>223760454The book (which is sorta-canon but not really) said he dies in the cabin so I can't imagine Lynch had any ideas for him
>>223760454He overstayed his welcome in the original series already.
>>223760285The movie is what Lynch wanted Twin Peaks to be like without being censored by the network. Also a lot of season 2 was forced by the network and Lynch hated how they forced him to play the story so he stopped working on it (then came back to work on it in season 3 which is why its much better than season 2)
>>223764926The whimsy held back Twin Peaks in the original show. Too much sidetrack bullshit of the townies being goofy for the sake of goofy, that had nothing to do with the plot whatsoever. The Return fixed all that, and made everything more plot relevant, without characters chewing the scenery too much.
>>223765529No, it was charming for most of it, it only really became irritating when they started using it as filler after the murder mystery was resolved. Not helped by the fact that Windom Earle, as primary new antagonist, was also a complete goofball. But yeah, that ten episode stretch in season 2 really does sour you on some of the supporting cast.
>>223765654Nadine's amnesia was shit. James was turbo shit. Leo Johnson had nothing to do with the plot. Andy I fucking hated. It felt like tonal whiplash of a bunch of characters out of an Ernest movie when handling a murder case.
such a kino film
>>223756931>>223757110Older girls at my private hs were so obsessed with FWWM they aspired to be LP. I was bullied about being a virgin so I could never shake this. The Return was such a relief I cried multiple times.
>>223766015Did they beat ability to form coherent sentences out of you doofos?
>>223756931I remember watching this and thinking it was incredible confusing and disjointed, then i realised I'd been watching all the deleted scenes
>>223760466Every Lost Highway or Lynch fan should watch these Robert Blake interviews. He did three of them. To me they become inseparable from the film, thematically but also aesthetically, as impossible as it sounds, taped before his murder obv. He goes fully in on Hollyweird and Lynch https://youtube.com/watch?v=xi82HBw05VY
>>223766062My sentences are coherent.
