When Pamela found out what her husband did, she went on the run with Jason and they hid out in Crystal Lake.The experiments altered Pamela's brain chemistry, making her psychotic. When Jason drowns, his mutant DNA kicks him, causing him to return bigger and stronger one year later. He reunites with Pamela, who has been killing the people whom she blamed for Jason's death, occasionally aided by a 13-year-old camper who was Jason's only friend and also blames the horny counselors for his death. The father tracks them down and Pamela makes Jason kills him before they escape into the woods to continue their killing spree.
