>>223803055What's the point of dropping the ENTIRE season? You kill discussion
>>223803124because posting those won't get yous here
>>223803124My cousin said this with Jessica jonesShe hated the sex between jessica and Luke and she wished the tall chad blonde got the hard sex scenes instead
I have to say that A24 has fallen off. It's all so predictable now.
None of this was needed but even worse is the evil corporation subplot and black reporter. So out of place and made the show unwatchable the last two episodes. Also the sudden shift to comedy in the police station shootout was horrible. Show sucked.
>>223803342They don’t exist
>>223803860Was never good aside from safdies
Surf Dracula
Surprisingly decent
>>223803096the absence of softcore is peculiar. i mean there is maybe 1 1/2 scene. its ok to wonder , no idea if ppl actually know why they made this artistic choice. its not for pg13 reason, there is an extended scene where a doctor get mouthfuck with a blender for an extended period of screentime, terrifier-tier gore. why having a lil peak of a cooch is a no go in this context? anyway not that i need it , i think it could have made the movie weirder than whats being made these days, and also they could have play it as a retro-shock type of thing since it was more enticing and taboo back then. idk
This will be the third show of Peacock's that should be written for me but now I will never see it because of how woke and gay it is joining the second season of Twisted Metal and WWE as a whole. It's almost like they are doing this on purpose to attack people like me.
>>223804596better than supernatural reason. the supernatural dont work at all for me, its just a cope. there was lil details that were interesting by going the experimental drugs road, like physical trauma trigger his cells to make him stronger or something, the oxygen deprivation can explain in part the change in personality. it was fine. richer than going the woo woo way for sure.
>>223804742Yeah, but by the end Jason is apparently teleporting around.
>>223804784they were busy screaming and wrestling the riffle , big J took off and maybe just took cover not taht far. i've seen something on youtube i think or was it in a movie, where taking off and then just jumping off the trail to hide behind a tree can be really efficacious way to hide since the first instinct of the "persuer" would be to think you really booked it and are still running
I've only watched one episode. It was alright. The stuff with Jason and Pamela is good. Velma is doing a good job. There's been a few good WTF moments already. I don't see how this is going to be 8 episodes though and I can already tell I'm going to hate some of the stuff.
>see people complaining about CGI gore>assume its going to be like shitty cgi blood or something>its actually a CGI bear eating a corpse that Pamela dumped in the woodsI'll forgive it.
>>223804845Yeah but there was also the scene where Pamela is trying to get Jason to show himself at the shack and he somehow gets inside and trashes the place in an instant without being seen.
>>223804848thats one thing i liked about that series, they show something or imply something "supernatural" but then propose a proper explanation. like when the hippy chick was playing medium then got called out for just repeating stuff the kid told her already but in other words.
do they really turn jason into an x-men style mutant in this?
>>223804909yea this one was borderline . but the stuff was on the floor it don't take too long to throw a couple of kicks in that pile. then maybe he hid in the crawlspace or somewhere else behind the cabin idk. why did he freak like that, aimless rage at his fate, brain fog due to lack of sustained oxygen deprivation when he drowned, that cabin was supposed to be just for him and his friend (awakening sexuality, he had a nudie mag hidden at home , and having mom of all ppl in his secret special place was fucked up?)
I want to kiss her chin
>>223804868What prevents them from just putting someone in a bear suit, that shit would have looked better wtf
>>223804932more like toxic avenger but it works fine for me. the experimental treatment they gave him changed his biology , traumatic stress makes him stronger. develop faster etc. thats cool, there are examples similar to this in the animal kingdom , the scientists were trying to replicate stuff like that in a human to resist all sorts of conditions like radiation etc that explains why he is fully grown so quick, can stay underwater, take a lot of physical punishment. fine with this, more fun than the freaking necronomicon
So what’s up with the ending? Is it all supposed to be a story by the campfire? I believe those were the same actors that played Barry and Claudette, right?
>Show with forced interracial propaganda >Posts are all about the story as if anybody really cares about some capeslop cw showYep its a shill recovery operation
>>223803055brainwashed, braindead ppl are the only ones who enjoy this
I'm just amused that they took F13, the franchise that is basically nothing but visceral caveman sex and violence and tried to turn it into something A24-esque. It's a more palatable version of when Rob Zombie made Michael Myers go white trash.
>>223804932jason now is eleven from stranger things, same everything. same evil father. same experiments, same escape
>>223803055ring the bell
>>223805067>>223804742but it sucks because for example Voorhees is not their real last name .... it's made up to hide from the scientists. that's bullshit. now Pamela doesn't come from poor or humble beginnings like before, now she's a famous singer married to a wealthy corporation important guy. .....fucking bullshit now Jason is not a regular boy that was bullied to drown.now small boy Jason is a survivalist professional hunter and Pamela taught him to hunt and survive in the forest at 9 years old.
>>223803055so that's why jason went apeshit? mom was a coal burner?
>>223805606>is not their real last name ...why is it so important. he is known by the last name used while hiding, so what.>now she's a famous singer hm, she did her debut on tv and it bombed, period bombed. she was a circuit cabaret singer nothing hi profile i think. the guru was calling her emoting as phony, not totally wrong.>now Jason is not a regular boy that was bullied to drown. then what he comes back as a supernatural zombie, you like that more? >now small boy Jason is a survivalist professional hunter and Pamela taught him to hunt and survive actually it seems he didnt need the stuff she gave him he trashed it. i think he regressed a bit and just tank it, the trapper said he was being observed as if jason was learning from him.
>>223803055boring as fuck, dropped early on
>>223803055i just wanted to see cute milf linda cardellini
>>223803055I like it so far. I made it thru the first five episodes. Episode two feels a bit filler-ish, but overall I like it. The season is sort of a prequel/remake of Part 1, expanding on the story and playing around with the established story to try and add new twists. You already know going in that Pamela Voorhees is a murderer, and you know certain characters die, so they throw a number of twists in, such as retconning the first two murders from the original Friday the 13th, showing that a 13-year-old girl named Grace who had befriended Jason had stabbed the two counselors after a lot of build-up showing that the female counselor was bullying her. Pamela Voorhees, who is obsessed with Grace like a replacement for her son then stumbles on the murders in progress and finishes them off. There’s also a mystery about Jason wandering the woods and witnesses seeing him, and him stalking people. At one point he encounters Grace and calls out to her from the woods and in another scene attacks the councilor who was bullying Grace, throwing one of Grace’s shoes through her boyfriend’s car window while she’s having sex. There’s also this “Umbrella Labs” backstory for Jason that the local police get involved trying to unravel it after a dead body is found mutilated by a bear.
>>223803096I noticed all the sex scenes so far either involve old ladies or underage characters so the females always have bras on. The only nudity you see is one guy’s ass.
>>223807300
>>223804932He’s kinda like a cross between Swamp Thing and Resident Evil. They show him as a child a lot and his character is genuinely charming and played well. He develops a friendship with an older girl who has an alcoholic mother and they have this Bridge to Teribithia style scene where Jason and the girl find the shack from Part 2 and decide to use it as a fort. After he drowns he’s shown stalking the woods and people becoming sort of this mythical entity that people get glimpses of only briefly. There’s also a moment where he’s with the girl and gets a bad cut on his arm, and he tells her he doesn’t even feel the pain and brags how strong he is.
>>223807279We have eclipsed Surf Dracula, now we're making shows about his mom doing nothing.
>>223805122There’s only two black characters and they’re written well. Lee, the Sheriff is sort of reminiscent of Creighton Duke from Jason goes to Hell in his performance. There’s plenty of moments that could have been woke, but aren’t primarily because he’s well cast and his actor performs well. The other is his sister who’s a small time reporter who he asks for help getting information on a homicide.
>>223803055Just finished the season. The final 2 episodes almost ruin the entire show for me.I don't think the entire thing is a waste. I really liked the episode where Pamela slaughters the hippies. I was sorta fine with the painfully obvious foreshadowing of Jason being a Stranger Things experiment, but the execution of episode 7 was so retarded that it ruined the potential. The finale also leaves so much unresolved and I don't care enough to anticipate a 2nd season. I went into this show knowing things would be different, but they kept the things I wanted them to change and they expanded upon things I didn't want expanded upon (if that makes sense). It was also incredibly predictable for most of the runtime. They basically made a Friday the 13th show for people who don't like Friday the 13th. Aside from the gore, I can unironically see my mom watching (and falling asleep) to this show. It's all the more crazy that the show is written in a way that tries to tie together all the nonsensical elements of the franchise into a cohesive, convoluted mess and peppered with a lot of fanservice.I REALLY hope they don't use this new backstory for a series of new Jason movies. I can accept this as it's own thing, but I'm really worried this is the start of the "new canon" for the franchise.
>>223808044>for people who don't like Friday the 13th.what is friday the 13th... its not a coherent franchise, far from it. ppl with good taste as far as horror movies go will say they like the first couple of movies; that's the bulk of its contribution to culture... establishing the slasher genre by stripping down giallo to the shocking bits with zero intrigue, or something. and it "rocked", i liked it for this back in the 80s and 90s even if i understood it ws kind of stupid. the series propose something to make sense of it all, the best they can , and it's a fun exercise, and giving it a solid ground like that could actually revive it in a fun way.
>>223808132so for a series called crystal lake, not friday the 13th, its great. if they make a friday the 13th movie based on it , jason will be the central focus but the mom could be part of it too, maybe to be sent off. and it adds to the mix when not all murders are linked to jason, confuses the viewers and the characters; they could possibly make an intrigue with this. wonder if they could address a "cover up" effort, altho realistically it could be difficult given the amount of shocking acts of violence and murders there was during the series. would be curious to give it a watch.
>>223808132> ppl with good taste as far as horror movies go will say they like the first couple of moviesNobody with good taste says they like the first two movies. Anybody who does you can instantly disregard. Steve Miner who directed parts 2 and 3 didn’t even like Part 2. That’s why Jason switches to a hockey mask in Part 3.
