As a sequel it's weak.And as a stand-alone movie it's weak.
It's better than the original. The original is boring.
>>223811449I still feel bad I only saw it three times in cinemas. Love this film.
>>223811449Agreed, really can’t remember anything about it, unlike the first movie.
The idea of Bladerunner is better than the reality/execution.Only reason it's held in such high regard is the potential despite never living up to what could have been. Many such cases
>>223811449It's ok, really don't like how the last few scenes ape Drive so closely.
>>223811449I agree. It wasn’t great on release and it has aged even worse.
Why are they all so afraid of Mercerism? Does the show depict it at least?
>>223811449original Blade Runner wins in visuals and soundtrack. 2049 has the better story.
>>223811502Same. Only saw it twice
>>223811633
A boring pretty movie with a great endingjust like the original.
>>223811449It's actually a great movie and superior to the original.
>>223811633I prefer the slave hunter story over the muh waifu incel story
I hate it but it’s good
>>223811667I only saw it once, I was the only one there
>>223811449>Harrison rolls out of bed>he tosses on a stinky, unwashed, $2 shirt from goodwill>alright let's shoot this piece of shit poster
>>223812803Ford's appearance was one of the most phoned in performances of all time. Also Leto was too chuuni.
Jared Leto tried his best to ruin this movie, but couldn’t quite do it. >>223811633I think the stories are equally as good, I just don’t like how Priss all of a sudden starts doing cartwheels and stuff towards the end. The behavior of the Nexus’ in the first movie kind of irritate me for some reason. Other than that, I think you’re right about the soundtrack and visuals being superior, at least for the time. Still impressive how Villanueve managed to recreate that visual world
>>223813053I like the way the nexus replicants behaved because it was uncanny. Everything they did and everything they said was off. That's why it worked so well.Sequel had too much straightforward aura farming.
>>223813053>Jared Leto tried his best to ruin this movie, but couldn’t quite do it.He's in it for like 90 seconds.
>>223813053>Still impressive how Villanueve managed to recreate that visual worldI think that was all Deakins.Coz Villeneuve - Deakins = Dune, which looks atrocious.
i'm a BR fan yet had no desire to see this.the clips and scenes i've watched look incredibly boring and try-hard.these croatian guys used practice effects and made a much better looking short film. too bad their story sucks (centers on a drug dealer, hard to sympathize or relate to).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eDQ2SSsmEk
>>223812803>Elderly man lives in a dusty shit hole in a post apocalyptic nightmare world>lives alone>Works hard to keep himself alive>4chan users think he should be wearing a suit and tie and be clean shaven at all timesWhat the fuck is this meme?
>>223811449as a cyberpunk movie it's great though
>>223812957>Ford's appearance was one of the most phoned in performances of all time. You people have rocks in your heads.
>>223811488nope. the original has good dialogue lines and some levity
On first watch I got really pissed off when K gets recruited by the "resistance" and thought oh great, that's where it's going. But K says fuck the A plot and saves Deckard. I've never enjoyed a subversion of expectations more.
>>223815039no but he should have sported futuristic leisurewear my man. we are bemoaning the creative bankruptcy of his outfit choice
