main character is a huge cunt and I don't like her at all. blonde girl isn't the best looking in the face but she's got the best personality so far by far and is the only one that even remotely comes off as an organic character and not an actor delivering stilted dialogue. overall aesthetic and decor are comfy. new orleans setting allows me to suspend my disbelief as to why there are so many darkies so I'm not hugely upset about "wokeness" there. foreign accent uber driver boy is clearly going to turn out to be a vampire, given away by his "I wanted to get a 'taste' of america" comment-- welp, so much for that "twist" they just revealed it 3 minutes later. format is weird and the episodes have bizarre runtimes.
outside of the cozy "magical school" setting, nothing really grabbed me and pulled me in, so I probably won't be continuing this series.

As the only person who really watched this, it's cliché as fuck and the experimental run time does the show no favors.

The set decoration is great for a Dis+ show, the costume design is also strong.
Sabrina Carpenter's clone who plays the main character probably has a future in the industry.
The older teachers and vampire leaders, it's kinda refreshing they didn't go the Vampire Diaries route and make all the adults smokeshows as well. They just look like extremely well dressed teachers with professionally done hair.

The short 15 minute episodes kill the pacing, the show is just exposition and set up the episode. It's like an Indian AI vertical short you see on TikTok, they go episode stretches without the main cast using their powers.
This show is just the big book of YA Urban Fantasy tropes, you name them they're all here, the main character wears magical combat boots she got from her mom just like Disney's Hexed, it's ridiculous.
Blonde sidekick is a well intentioned ditz, black sidekick is angry for no reason it's boring anti-woke casting just the way you like it.
The male leads, it feels like episodes 1 and 4 were filmed years apart, I've never seen such a tragic change in how a character is presented since Jacob the werewolf in Twilight 2, but in reverse, the male vampire is given one of the worst haircuts and make up jobs I've ever seen someone who's supposed to be the hot guy in a teen show.

It's extremely short watch 2 or 3 episodes if you're looking for something to fill that CW void and see if it sticks with you
