Why did this genre of movies seemingly die? Was she the top tier actress in this lane?
>>
Softcore Cheesecake? The poison ivy series with jamie pressley is the best. The hand that rocks the cradle and the crush with Silverstone are just that. Scintillating and risqué.

because the idea of a porn actress playing a CIA agent was really pushing it
>>
>>223827970
Softcore the whole genre is seemingly dead, showtime and Cinemax carried it for years

Vip and barbwire with Pam Anderson was basically this.

It didn’t deserve all the hate it got

I dont remember the hate, it was just a neat action film by the baywatch babe. It was after my time so I didnt see or hear any reviews, it did get a cult status on mexican tv.

Anna Nicole Smith was famous for pornography. Specifically, softcore.
Because she was very large. Both in height and breasts.

She became even more famous for another reason...
>>
Why did Cinemax stop making softcore porn?

Because what is the fucking point when you can just go online and watch actual porn?
Back when porn meant you had to buy physical media from seedy places that existed just to sell porn or even worse, porn theaters, it was a hassle and potentially stigmatizing.
So you could just have plausible deniability and jerk off at late night softcore.

Cable television (and, later, satellite) became beloved for their "no-no!" channels.

>or even worse, porn theaters
I went to a peep show in Denver around 2004. One of those places where you have your own little room and you keep pumping quarters and dollars into a box and the door raises and there’s a girl stripping behind glass. It was wild and the girl got really close to the glass and encouraged me to jerk off. We need to bring those back.

same. I'm just never having an account, that's all.
