I tried to marathon his whole filmography. It got really rough in the 90s era, and Ghosts of Mars made me give up (so I didn't watch The Ward or his Masters of Horror episode). I think They Live might be his best film, or his most interesting, but it doesn't have much rewatch value. It's not just not the same when you already know the twist. His worst film is Vampires – yes it's worse than Ghosts of Mars. It's a dull, empty, soporific film, and James Woods' character is a walking mid-life crisis, a 70s boomer's idea of a badass. Sheryl Lee looks hagged out, even though this was made only a few years after FWWM where she looked hot. Drugs, I suppose.
