What am I in for?
Probably a quick 404. There is a board for cartoons.
>>223852803How about I 404 you?
>>223852777gotham's darkest knightthe villains' greatest fright

>>223852777Batman
why are you 30 and still watching cartoons?
>>223852862If he hasn't seen Batman, he's probably a lot younger than 30.
>>223852803Yeah but its fucking shit. 99% loli porn threads. But not good lolis, retarded modern cartoon lolis and its dying like every other board.
>>223852777Kino art direction and episodes mixed with a lot of generic and mid episodes. Its probabaly not a good idea to binge watch. Mask of the Phantasm is aamazing dont skip the movies.Batman Beyond is a lot more consistent and surprisingly a great sequel and its movie is great too. Justice League and Unlimited are great too. Season 1 is slower but unlimited ditches 2 partners and adds glup shittos every episode but in a kino way
>>223852777It's the easily the best animated supes series ever made, which would not say much in and of itself but Batman TAS is legitimately incredible. I would argue it is among the best animated series ever made period.
>>223852915I couldn't get into Batman Beyond. I don't like child or teen characters.
>>223852862>why are you 30 and still watching cartoons? Is this bait? Watching anything that isn't the daily news is childish
>>223852934It's worth a try, it has one of the most incredible payoffs for its finale of any series. Like they sat on that bombshell for ten years without giving the game away. Also, one of the more mature series in terms of themes. Legitimately some of the material is horrifying.
>>223852935Nothing is more childish than watching the news. Except maybe sports.
>>223852862animation is made by adults for everyone to enjoy
>>223852968You think idolizing rich people in uniforms hitting balls is adult?
>>223852777best Joker, a kino Mr. Freeze episode, and fancy Clayface animation
>>223852980Of course, watching grown men playing children's games and getting angry when the outcome doesn't favor your preferred tribe is a very mature thing to do.
>>223852836>in darkest knight>in the greatest fight>that granny pussy tight>I hate whites
>>223852934>I don't like child or teen characters.
>>223853053Indeed. I don't watch anime, for instance. It's all clearly aimed at 13 year olds.

I only see chuds in this thread.unironically you all are mentally retarded for liking a "justice" character who only commits injustice.Punisher is the real Batman that he himself could never be
>>223852915>Batman Beyond is a lot more consistent and surprisingly a great sequel and its movie is great too.False. The writing just isn't as good. I have seen most of Beyond and the only episode that bobs its head to the level of greatness that was the original show is the episode about the expose journalist that can phase through walls
>>223852862I’m only 29
>>223853161lmao what a fagI'm already 46
>>223853121You're thinking of The Shadow. The Punisher is cringe.
>>223852777Kino. Especially if you follow up with JL and JLU.
>>223852777snoozefestwatch The Batman instead
A big rock.
>>223852777I don't know
>>223853241He said he's 29, not 12.
>>223853233>Especially if you follow up with JL and JLU.What kind of loser is doing that I’ll maybe watch Beyond after but that’s it
>>223853256non-sequitor
Real answerUnironically kino. This was a tv show that heavily emphisized batman villains, and showed them frequently as shakepearian tragedies. Many of the villains aren't simply evil for the sake of evil(except the joker) but rather as tragic figures where life has fucked them up the ass. On top of that it had Mark Hamill as the voice of the joker, who did an amazing job and came back for the Arkham video games. The style of the cartoon is grounded on Bruce Timm's designs, and it is in this cartoon that they introduce Harley Quinn(also designed and co-created by Timm)This cartoon has had a massive influince on Batman lore even if you never watched it.
>>223853241I liked their adaptation of The Killing Joke (it's the finale to the first season, but the whole thing sets it up). Dunno if I'd recommend the rest.
>>223852777Bad animation and a studio obsessed with Robin. The gothic deco art and the stories are good though.
>>223853311>influence on Batman ......
>>223852862I'm 35. I own the whole box set (minus new adventures cause fuck the new art style) and I can say there isnt a bad episode among them. As a 35 year old showing them to my nephews they aren't as exciting as they were when I rediscovered them at age 17 but when the show is good it serves as some of the best Batman stories ever told. If you are a fan of Batman you will always be able to enjoy the show but if you are a tv snob you will decide it as a kids show (which it is) and only shrug in approval at the top 20 episodes... so without further ado here are my personal favorite top 10 episodes of the show as someone who watched it as a 4 yr old when it aired and still revisit them from time to time now1. Feat of Clay2. Almost got em3. Two Face4. Heart of Ice5. The Man who Killed Batman 6. On Leather wings 7. If your so smart...8. Harleys Holiday9. Jokers Favor10. Last Laugh
>>223853271You're missing out anon
>>223853326>obsessed with RobinHe first appears in episode 2 and doesn't even appear again until episode 24. He's only in a handful of episodes before they made "The Adventures of Batman and Robin".
>>223853324the vampire movie is also kino, really loved it
>>223853201Give me a few more years and I will catch up to you in age
>>223853336Clayface in this show, was peak there are anons that say the animations sucks
>>223853299sequitor, isn't that like a gladiator type? are you saying anon's not a gladiator?
>>223852777>What am I in for?The ruination of every other Batman property that doesn't come close to being as good as this was.
>>223853271No no you should, they're great. This was the era where DC completely dominated animated supes in the same way that Marvel dominates live-action supes now, except unlike Marvel which fell off halfway through, DC animated stuff basically "finished" with the end of JLU and never dragged on and became shit. Even Batman Beyond tied in with stuff from the JLU for its ultimate conclusion which was always kino. This was in the days when people still knew when to just finish something. Everything since then has been massively inferior to a point where it's hard to even describe how trash modern capeshit is compared to the 90s-00s era.
>>223853386That's Secutor. A Sequitur is something which follows logically from the previous thing (sequence) a Non-Sequitur is when you make a statement, and then a completely unrelated statement as though those two were connected.I.E., "I'm rather fond of scrambled eggs myself, but niggers shouldn't be allowed to fly planes."
>>223852777A man in a gimp suit fulfilling his very peculiar fetish.
>>223853382Also Ron Pearlman slightly above average actor actorReally good fucking voice actor I particularly love his delivery of the lines>Ah Ha, I handled this, pretty good And>T-turn them ouff
>>223853382Holy shit is THIS what this was from? I saw this as a child and I had nightmares about it for years.
>>223852777It's pretty good, not as good as Batman TAS, but pretty strong in its own right.Pretty boring at parts due to serialized/weekly format. Has High School/teen drama bits. But the bad guys are done pretty well imo. So is Terry as Batman. Old Bats is baller af, too.I wish that Spider-Man Unlimited series ran for longer.
>>223852915The Batman Beyond spinoff series with the Terminator like android was incredibly kino, it had no business being that good.
>>223853594Oh I'm a retard. I thought that was Batman Beyond. Both are good. TAS is better, though both are worth checking out
It's pretty much reddit meets netflix meets globohomo feminism. Basically it's feminism the show made to hypnotise the viewer into thinking "white men bad" and "POC women good". There isn't really much more to this dreary show than that.
>>223853834I said the same thing about Blue's Clues.
>>223852836Schwarbage
>>223853834Many posters are saying this.

>>223853834Finally a high IQ anon
>>223853429>I.E., "I'm rather fond of scrambled eggs myself, but niggers shouldn't be allowed to fly planes."But this is perfectly logical
>>223853357Timm and Dini shoved Robin off to college with only sporadic appearances because they didn't want comparisons to Burt Ward's "golly gee whiz, holy adjective, Batman!" portrayal, but the network suits won out and forced more Robin in.
>>223853382>when the entire season's animation budget goes into one scene
>>223853382TAS had so many great villains. Clayface, Croc, Freeze, Harley Quinn. They really reinveted a lot of them too.>>223853357Even in the Robins season there are plenty of episode where Bat is alone
>>223852880I'm 45 and watch the box set with my son.
>>223854192I still say it suffered from blocky character design
Repetitive childrens cartoon that is ridiculously overrated.
>>223853429>"I'm rather fond of scrambled eggs myself, but niggers shouldn't be allowed to fly planes.">butThis isn't a non-sequitur.
>>223854492Name a better cartoon with more than one season that isn't titled The Simpsons....
>>223854694Spider-Man TAS had a superior overarching narrative.
>>223854694GargoylesExosquadGummibearsCarmen SandiegoAny anime
I thought that was the good Batman. What is the Batman everyone is always praising from the animated ones?
>>223855023This one. Granted, you're still watching a cartoon that was written for children, despite some more heavy scenes scattered in there every now and then.Oh you're confused by half the thread being contrarians?
>>223852777What's up with the weird episode order? The two-parters are interrupted by filler but could easily watched right after.
>>223855206>Oh you're confused by half the thread being contrarians?yeah
>>223852777Quintessential Batman kino. Literally unsurpassed. The best Batman has ever been or will ever be.
>>223855320Production problems and network didn't really care. DVD releases have the intended production order.
