I have personal experience with watching an absolutely toxic relationship somehow keep going strong and leave me befuddled so this movie captured a sensation I often times think I’m alone in or that I’m missing something. it's the other way around, she's obsessed with him because he's hot and rich and has a big dick. And she's a bit autistic so she doesn't realize how weird he is, and because she's in prison and he has her kids she has absolutely nobody else to rely on and will just go with whatever he says without question. She does this about the money at the end, where she lies and says she doesn't know if they discussed the money or not. Obviously he kept that from her, and she's covering for him because he's so important to her life.
I would go so far as to say that theranos 2.0 is probably all his idea in the first place. He supports her and puts all his energy into helping her keep doing theranos, even though he absolutely should know that there's nothing there. He's using her image and name as a mascot for the company so that he can carry on the scam while she's in prison, and she'll go along with all of it because she's in prison and he's her only connection to her outside life.
it's so obvious that he's a slimy manipulative creep who can't lie and can't control his emotions on camera so he uses her as the face of the scam, and she's more than happy to do whatever he wants because he validates her and gives endless support (so long as it furthers the scam) and probably makes her cum a lot.

It was interesting. It reminded me of a lot of things I enjoyed: F for Fake, Persona, A Face in the Crowd, some elements of thriller and neo-noir films. It's an interesting exploration of deception and honesty in the mass media age. Nathan is funny and my wife Amanda is beautiful and talented. Digger was still better tho.
