the only way to enjoy the show season 5 and onwards is to have a special kind of autism that allows you to draw on all the book lore and combine that with the visual elements on screen. You get to a retarded scene and think "oh that's kinda like this other character/event" which fuels this weird head canon with a mixture of the kino music evoking emotion and nostalgia, edibles help a lot too

If she returns to Westeros she has to deal with Bran, Sansa, and Jon and the political ramifications of everything that has happened, which should be massive. Realistically Westeros is probably at war with each other again. And that's a lot to put on an Arya show. If she sails west of Westeros than that all new locations, new characters, new lore, and it's not really Game of Thrones anymore. A sequel show will be based around Jon. They can keep him North of the Wall, and just have hints of the things going on in the south while 'fixing' the white walker story. Or if they're ballsy, they can have him go south, his character is much better linked to all the political infighting and problems in the south.
