Honestly he probably shouldn't even leave the isles and just have to deal with a comedy of errors situation where the service sends him on a wild goose chase because they mistakenly assume that some vast criminal syndicate or foreign government is plotting something. Bond can still be good at his job and there in lies the comedy, he is sent to deal with some local crims and they're not even remotely capable of dealing with the bullshit this man casually hurls at them: bulletproof sports car that can do flips and drive upside down on tunnel ceilings while that dropping oil slicks and blasting peopl with hidden machine guns and missile launchers. He has wrist watch lasers, vape pen grenades, bulletproof suits, has a belt that turns into a sword, shoes with knives in them, lapell buttons that he can throw like ninja darts.

Well, Craig was the first Bond with an overarching story across 4 Bond movies (Mr. White/Spectre). They should have left it at "Spectre" though, the story had its well-deserved finale when Bond captured Blofeld on that bridge. Nobody needed to see him die in "No Time to Die" and with a slimy little poisoner as "villain" on top of that. That sort of buried the franchise, let's see if they can bring it back.
