I feel like the movie isn't really THAT complicated. Once you figure out the point they are trying to make, the movie sort of becomes repetitive.

Caden wastes his life reconstructing his life in a safe and controlled environment, always perfecting on it, never completing it. IRL he's falling apart, his wife left him and became more successful than him and his daughter is a complete stranger. I don't have a family, but I resonate with going over shit again and again in my head, basically reconstructing experiences into something safe and familiar, but realize it's just a waste of time. It doesn't make me more prepared for my next experience.

I like that Ralph the movie maker attempted to find the themes hidden within.
