ITT: Actors taken wayyyyy too young.
You laugh but those of us old enough to remember were genuinely shocked.Just to fuck me up harder, decades later I was living in Wilmington NC getting ready for my wedding. We were poor as shit so my fiancee picked out a Simplicity wedding dress pattern, bought the fabric and we hired some nonunion seamstress on a film production to make the dress. 3 decades later it's still hanging in our closet. By coincidence the seamstress was also making a wedding tux for the star of that production, Bruce's son Brandon. He's buried in it.
>>223920524Why would Brandon Lee be having a tux made by some hick seamstress in hick town nowhere?
Tarantino ruined him.

>>223920541North Carolina is a "right to work" state which is why Wilmington became the home of Carolco for filming Dune, T2 and other productions (that and the town having 11 theater companies as well as its own airport). This means most of the support staff on "The Crow" were nonunion therefore cheaper therefore less stringent about regs. When it comes to costumes, that's a great way to save the production company money. Brandon who was unbelievably bro thought he'd do her a favor by having her make his wedding outfit. We were just broke as fuck. When nonunion comes to armorers, that's how Brandon died on set because a shoot ran over time and the armorer sanctioned it being split between shooting days, a .38 prop gun accidentally chambered the hollow-tip slug seen in the gun loading closeup and the next day when the revolver was examined and no shell was visible before loading the dummy for the actual firing of the weapon, the hammer struck the dummy's shell which pushed the slug with the same force as a single live round. I've fired .38 hollow-tip rounds before and they're scored on the tip so that on impact they flatten to the size of a dinner plate without losing force or momentum. Lee was disemboweled, taken to the county hospital but pronounced dead an hour later.
>>223920675I read a little bit about it after I meanposted and I retract my doubt and my unduly harsh comments about the seamstress and Wilmington. Sorry fwiw.
>>223920419my conspiracy theory is that the CIA had him killed so the american public wouldn't have a cool asian hero in the zeitgeist to admire while we were busy losing in vietnam. The symbology in Enter the Dragon might have also made him a threat in their eyes
