I liked it. Why did people here hate it?
>>223924504Here's this young lad i was telling you about.
>>223924504I liked it despite never having the need to rewatch it unlike Scorceze other gangster movies, which tend to be some of my favourites. It's probably too long for most people, which is fair enough. Also iirc around this time the de-aging gimmick was in full-effect, and people were probably sick of it, and offended that Scorceze, a man who was pretty blatantly against Disneyslop, would resort to such filmmaking gimmicks; which is another fair point against this film.
The last time Pacino, DiNero and Pesci will be on screen together
>>223924504it was too long and a same old same old Pacino Deniro gangster flck which been done so many times before, it wasnt bad but also nothing special just easily forgettable, ive never watched it a second time but ive seen goodfellas a bunch of times because its so good
bad cgi, just really old men past their prime struggling to say their lines
>>223925175Jesus.
>>223925175damn that looks so bad
This is the kid I was tellin' you about.
Killers of the Flower Moon was a way better film and a way better performance for De Niro
>>223924504>Why did people here hate it?A couple of exceptionally bad scenes (the grocery store 'fight' springs to mind).Very bad editing/pacing that makes the film about an hour longer than it needs to be.DeNiro trying to act like a kid in his 20s and everyone acting like he's some young kid.
>>223924504The lies of Henry Hill in Goodfellas were balanced out by having the police who worked on the case as advisors. Wolf of Wallstreet and this were based almost entirely on the liar's story. And they both suffer for it. The choice to also use De Niro as the younger version was horrendous.
>>223925203Why does that kid look so grumpy? Do his parents parents know where he is?
>>223925233what did henry lie about? by mob standards, in the movie, he's a half-decent guy.
>>223925227This.Killers felt like Scorsese's way of both apologising for The Irishman, and also a way of redeeming himself by saying 'look I can make a 3 hour plus crime epic that's good'
>>223925253kek
Hopefully when Scorsese's dead and ai is cheap, we can get an official remaster where they fix the bad scenes and improve the deaging cgi
>>223925295>Hopefully when Scorsese's dead and ai is cheap, we can get the 4 hour cut of the Wolf of Wall Street that he teasedftfy
>>223925295>Trust me, Marty. With AI we can transform Robert De Niro into a spry young man.>>223925175>Robert De Niro as a spry young man
>>223925456I think it was the other way around>Marty the tech is good and all. But Bob's an old man. A really old man. We should probably use a body double for the fight sce->Have you seen what they can do?! It was incredible! It was like I was looking at my pal from 20 years ago! It was great. Who needs a body double? Not us, that's who
>>223925175Did they seriously CG that glass shatter?
>>223924504Not feckin' Irish enough
>>223925203Babby Frankeen gets ornery if he doesn't have his daily cup of blarney.
>>223924504It took me awhile to accept i don't even like scorcese.
