do you like any of his movies?
Lady in the Water is his best. Only plebs disagree.
>>223927262whats the twist?
I think he's one of the best film makers
His other daughter is way hotter than the one in trap
>>223927398the one in trap looks like a jaw bone shaving surgery gone horribly wrong patient. she was so unnerving.
Trap was so good, one of the best films I’ve ever seen
>>223928096You should watch more movies, saar >>223927292Nah, Village clears
>>223927997She has her father’s weak chin
>>223928139no, the mother is the one with the weak chinthe hot daughter takes after him quite a lot
>>223927262For some reason everyone seems to forget about Bruce Willis, but this was one of his better "twists".I also liked >>223927292
All that money & success and still an Indian wife>grim
Everything until Lady in the Water. Split was also good.I have spoken.
>>223928178 Nigger are you blind?/ the wife has the exact jawline as the older daughter and M Night and the younger daughter have no chins at all. Use your eyes
>>223927262>Imagine race mixing a pajeeta trust fund babylifes not fair bros
>>223928180I watched this last night, first time I've seen it since a kid so I barely remembered the details.I think it would have been a thousand times better if any supernatural elements were taken out, and the twist was that David Dunn was a normal guy all along.
>>223927262Signs is unironically a masterpiece idc what anyone says
>>223928096It was shit actually
>>223928269I don't know if it makes for an exciting story but I wanted more of that level of super human. Because he wasn't that impressive. That guy that just moved into that house was kicking his ass and he was just tough. His super strength wasn't doing that much and even then with the weights he was just strong for his size and age. I think Split and Glass is where shit went off the rails.
>>223927262Sixth Sense was an amazing experience, pure 90s cinema that enveloped you and carried you along to the end. It was one of the best of its kind because of how it contrasted the soft soap opera world of a little boy with . . . transgressions. Unfortunately, it didn't age well.Inversely, Unbreakable and Signs were seen as excellent genre films in their day. They made bank and critics were positive, especially with Unbreakable, but I don't think anyone back then could have anticipated how good those two films look in hindsight. How deep and complete Unbreakable is, the raw power of Signs. Shyamalan's Christianity was less interesting to the viewing public, so the real thematic weight of them didn't strike home like it does now.
>>223928392the weights he was lifting pretty heavy with no real training. there's a deleted where he lifts even more in the stadıum gym; boring scene though.even if he's twice as strong as he is supposed to be, it's significant. he also had never broken a bone etc, neither from a car crash or a train crash that killed hundreds of others. it's underplayed but that makes him nearly bulletproof.without the fear of injury he can fight a lot harder. It'd be like like to walking around in a suit of armour
>>223928269The movie is extremely careful to avoid true supernatural stuff. Dunn discovers something within himself, comic books are a remnant of something real. Does that mean wacky supernatural things existed, no. It means the book refers to a part of the real world we already know. It means the power and the story are within you.
>>223927262All of them. Has he ever directed something that wasn't good?
Knock at the Cabin was some super-paranoid "RW are gonna kill gay couple" shit
>>223928544The last airbender movieThe one with mark walhberg and the treesThe will smith and his son nepo garbage Lady in the water (youre just wrong anon)That apple tv showTrapThe last 5 min Of Glass
>>223928564>Knock at the CabinWhat's that? Also this thread looks like a /hor/ runaway discussion
>>223928592>The will smith and his son nepo?>Lady In The WaterMy go-to unpopular opinion for a movie that flopped but I liked. Lady in the Water rocks, but I understand why people didn't like it.
I liked Trap, mostly because of Josh Hartnett.
The text inserts at the end of Unbreakable were pretty cringe too
>>223927262One of the best directors in activityHe only has like 3 bad films
>>223928457What I was trying to get at is that it had seemingly no practical use against an actual criminal, The guy that threw him into the pool. Like in a controlled environment he can hit stuff and he's hard to damage. But what I liked was that in an actual fight he really only won through the tenacity that being unbreakable allowed him. And even in the context of the movie with him having a weakness to water, it was his will that pushed him to keep going. So let's pretend he is bulletproof. Even if he goes in to stop a bank robbery or something, with what was displayed in Unbreakable, I could still see him getting overwhelmed or blind sided but kind of powering through. And I don't know how enjoyable that is for most people but it seems appealing to me. At least more appealing than watching let's say scenes from Batman movies where even though he's still just a man he easily takes down groups of guys. Or Spider-man just webbing everyone after a few flips. His struggle even with his powers to beat one guy was more compelling. And I'd like to see more of that in movies in general. To bring up another Bruce Willis movie, Die Hard. That was an action movie where he's just barely hanging on every fight.
>>223928219are you blind, the daughter next to M Nights looks exactly like him.
