What was the moral of Vito's gay arc?
Don't worry about it
>>223929138Don't shit where you eat.
>>223929182Ding ding ding.Vito got sloppy like his blowjobs, he used to cross state lines to do his dirty deeds but then he started suck off guys at his own workplace?Get outta here, amateur hour
Security guard cock is irresistibly delicious
>>223929138If you're looking for some down low gay boomer dick in 2005 use the fucking internet.
You can be a top earner but there are some things that can't be ignored, such as being a fucking finook.
>>223929237>internet.On Craigslist there was a 50/50 chance of either getting a flaked or getting murdered. You'd be better off cruising at that point
>>223929138It's better to die than have a 9-5.
>>223929342It's really that bad. I'm dreading going in tomorrow.
>>223929138>Be a closet case in a world where being gay will not only ruin your reputation, but get you killed>decide to meet up for a gay sex session with a security guard from your place of work AND do the act in the parking lot of workThe recuring theme of the sopranos is that these people are low impulse control retards and it ends up biting them all in the ass.
>>223929138Don't be gay while working with extremely homophobic individuals
>>223929138He brought conflict resolution techniques from the old country, from the corrupt days of the mezzogiorno.
>>223929138>catching >not pitching
>>223929138shoulda joined the russian mob
>>223929329I think you underestimate the demand for closeted bisexual married men on the down low in the mid 2000s. INB4 sweetie
how did he find a gay security guard on the site to hook up with before grindr?
>>223929416Gaydar
>>223929396>feeding?>not sneeding?
>>223929404I don't underestimate it, I'm just pointing out Craigslist was risky af. People don't know how platforms like Grindr changed the whole dl scene
>>223929138Don’t be gay.
>>223929434lot of money in this shit
>>223929416Ya know how the book Brokeback was based on was called "Sometimes You Just Know?"
it was a moral for how hopelessly addicted to their shitty greasy guido lifestyle the mobsters are that vito winds up dying over it. he had managed to escape to a magical rural paradise where nobody knew him and he got a guy to fuck him. but he couldn't hack the tedium of a regular life and so went right back to jersey where he winds up getting killed
>>223929138https://youtu.be/S4KaIuMVzLU?t=44
>>223929213but that wasnt was brought him down, it was the when those guys discovered him in the gay bar, him blowing finn was just the cherry on top.
>>223930420It was just a joke but unfortunately no one in the mafia has a sense of humor apparently
>>223929138that blood pressure medication is dangerous shit.
>>223929138The moral of the story is that it's better to die than be a normalfag wagie. Vito was right.
>>223929138The heightened dangers of mixing practical jokes with medication.
>>223931314>10:30..gotta be.
>>223929138It’s a joke
>>223929138Don't be a faggot. Faggots are disgusting, like Black people.
the blowjob thing wasnt even the worse him going to new york to a gay bar all dressed up when it was under mob control was beyond retarded and just asking for it
don't be a faggot
he's a fuckin fanook
>>223929138Some people are just unsuited for civilized, and they can't enjoy a normal life. Between Johnny Cakes, the weather, and his huge bundle of money, he almost 100% could have survived long term. He just didn't want to. Johnny Cakes says it best>it was the life you miss, not your kids
>>223929138when the show aired a lot of ground was being gained for lgbt acceptance, so the audience naturally would be sympathetic to vito's plight. but the show's writers decided to flip the situation on its head. vito is a completely unsympathetic during this arc. he runs away and avoids responsibility from not one but both of his lives, constantly makes dumbass decisions and even kills an innocent man. this is how you properly subvert expectations and modern tv writers should take notes.
>>223929138The moral is you can be gay, or you can do organized crime, but you can't do both
>>223929138I'm not sure
>>223929830>I don't underestimate it, I'm just pointing out Craigslist was risky af. Beats truckstops along the jersey turnpike
>>223930420finn saw him blowing the guy>people on /tv/ posting about shit they didn't even watchsky is bluewater is wet
>>223929888KEK
>>223929138he should have gotten a note from his doctor in advance, just in case anyone saw him being gay.
>>223931667>and even kills an innocent manI love these moments in The Sopranos where innocent civilians get beaten up or killed by these morons for weak reasons. There's a deep message there.
>>223929138>What was the moral of Vito's gay arc?Read the side effects of any prescription medication.
>Oh dont mind us Christopher, we just stopped by to uhh anyway we gotta go.
>>223929493dead meme baskin wins
>>223931667Vito trying to get through a day of work was pretty goddamn sympathetic
>>223929288no one ever mentions that guy had gay sex in prison in these threadswhich explains his insecure behavior with vittosopranos is such a nuanced and smart deconstruction on the fragile male mobster ego
>>223933726>sopranos is such a nuanced and smart deconstruction on the fragile male mobster egothats probably why Scorsese hates it
>>223933726anon he fucked a grilled cheese through a radiator, not a man, he compromised
>>223932525been a while since I watched but didn’t that only come out after he got caught at the gay bar? he told meadow about it at some point and that was it, then meadow tells carmela and rosalie later on, while vito is under fag investigation. at that point the guys have to bring him in to interrogate him
>>223932106WATCH THOSE WRIST ROCKETS!
>>223933760He fucked Ray DiAttore, anon...
>>223933739Most episodes of the Sopranos are better than anything Scorsese ever made. Better needle drops too.
>>223933815Scorseserts "Fresh Delicious Iced Gelatos" was betterts
>>22393380220 years, never took it in the can! Unlike that animal Blundetto.
>>223929138Always get a second medical opinion when prescribed medications
>>223929138Idiot criminals can be gay too...? I have no idea.
>>223930420That gay bar had connections to the mob which is how he got spotted.
One of the running themes of the show is how over indulgent and reckless the mobsters are. Chrissy with his drugs and propensity for random violence, drawing heat to jobs and so on. Tony regularly tries to keep his crew in check so as to not do stupid shit to make them an easy target. Vito like the other guys thought he was invincible and could do whatever he wanted. They all seem to have little to no ability to understand consequences.
>>223929182>Don't shit where you eat. That's homophobic.
>>223929138Gays need to be murdered.
>>223929138If he was a mobster, he should have been able to pay some young twink at least. Its not even realistic like if he's got it that bad then he's gonna be showing up with sores and always getting sick. And got dang like there would be a trail, word would get around ya know? Hes gotta be prowling around the gay haunts all the time, he's no amateur by the looks of it.
>>223936403>Hes gotta be prowling around the gay haunts all the timeHe... was? That's how he got caught. Did you even watch the show?
>>223929138If you want to be a pleb about it, it's that the Jersey mafia had arbitrary rules about what was okay. You can kill a waiter who is mad about your tip, you can kill a stripper, etc. Ruin anyone's life you want. You can even have sex with men in prison. But the line is drawn at being gay.Other moral is probably "careful what you wish for." Vito thought he wanted a gay LL Bean life, but he couldn't even hack it for a day. The episode with him watching the clock and being so bored at work was basically like the Goodfellas part where Henry talks about how people who slave away at shitty jobs are suckers.
