It's the most accessible Tarkovsky film. By the way, I remember an old editing teacher telling us that he watched Tarkovsky's movies like he read books, only a few minutes at a time.
I read Roadside Picnic and watched Stalker as a teenager because I was a fan of the Stalker game trilogy. Liked them both because they were cool as fuck, did not pay any mind to philosophy or allegories or other pretentious art snob nonsense, yeah as a matter of fact I am based.
