I read Whalefall because I thought it was a stupid silly idea for both a book and a movie but fucking nobody here is talking about the adaptation that just came out a week ago despite talking about the trailer a couple of times. Which is weird to me because a movie like that typically gets memed for a while. Not this one apparently.

I did this with final fantasy and cloud atlas. Finished the novelization and it was pretty much the movie for final fantasy. It was years later but it was scene for scene retelling. Cloud atlas is still to be read.
